Grayson's POV
"You know your a horrible singer"
She faced me with sad eyes
"Rude" she states while after turning and facing the road again, I look at Maddie's face, her eyes are wide open like she's seen a ghost. I look at what she was looking out at, I copy her actions as I see a car coming straight towards us. Maddie try's to get off the road before the car could crash into us but it was to late. It hit Maddie's side of the car and flips us over. I look over at Maddie and see she is passed out. I try and take my seatbelt off but it wouldn't budge, I felt a sting in my arm and see there is a chunk off glass in the arm
"F*ck" I scream.
I wiggle around in my seat but careful as I was upside down,
"Maddie are you awake" nothing.
"Maddie wake up!" I try shaking her but still nothing. I soon hear sirens coming towards us making my head pound. The noise comes closer and closer until they are here.
"Hello is anyone awake" an officer says
"Yes! Over here" I yell back.
I hear footsteps running toward me,
"Your going to be okay sir, just stay with us"
I nod and they take me out of the car and put me on a stretcher and put me in the van. The other officers go over to Maddie and pull her out of the car carefully ,
"No pulse! No pulse!" One of them screamed
My heart sank, this can't be happening.
They got her on the stretcher and rushed next me in the van, and they start driving. I soon became tired and I closed my eyes a fell asleep, while the officers told me not to.
I wake up to the noises of machines beeping, I look around and see my mum crying as well as Angie (Maddie's mum) and see Ethan sleeping in the couch.
"Mum, whats wrong" I asked
"Honey! Your awake are you okay, do you need the nurse" she replies worried.
"I'm fine, where's Maddie is she okay"
"U-uhh, she in the other room in a coma" Angie speaks up.
"Is she okay"
"We don't know yet, honey" Mum says
I was upset that they didn't know If she was okay or not, but I don't know why, I hate Maddie she is absolutely annoying. The door slowly open and in comes the nurse,
"Hello Grayson, how are you feeling" he asked
"I'm feeling fine, I'm just exhausted" I answer
" that's normal, you just need to rest"
"What about Maddie is she going to be okay" Angie speaks up.
"Yes, she going to be fine, we don't know how long she will be in the coma for though it could be days,weeks or even months, but she should be fine other than she might have memory loss but that only a small chance" he says, we all nod our head and he heads out.
" that's a relief" my mum says comforting Angie
"Grayson! You awake!" Ethan yells
He sprints over to me and gives me a huge hug,
"I was so worried about you, I couldn't lose you buddy" he says while he eyes start to water
"Awe, thanks E same goes to you"
5 hours later
It's now around 11pm everyone went to the hotel room since we ain't close to home and the campsite is to far to go back to. I rest my head on the hospital pillow listening to the beeps coming from the machine. I can't believe I was in a crash. Thoughts overflows my mind, starting to make me feel tired again I close my eyes and soon sleep takes over me.
