Maddie's POV
Today is going to be the first time skipping school, I got up and got ready and headed downstairs waiting for Grayson to come. I hear the door bell ring so I got up and answered the door
"Hey" I smile
"Hey" he leads me to his car and and we hop in
"So where are we going"
"The mall" I simply nod my head and he starts driving.
We arrive at the mall and started looking at shops, I had no money so I wasn't getting anything.
"Why haven't you bought anything Maddie" Grayson asks
"I have no money" I put my head down
"Why didn't you say anything, I can just pay"
"No no no no no no no no" he just smirks and we enter another store.

We have been here for a couple hours and Grayson decided to get lunch, we were in line at Mc Donald's
"What do you want" he asks
"Nothing" I lie, she scans my face than he just shakes his head
"Hey, can I have 2 mc chicken burgers with 2 frozen cokes.
We both walk over to the pick up area and we wait for our food
"I said I didn't want anything"
"You lied, I'm not making you watch me eat" he chuckles
"Well thanks gray" I send him a smile and he returns one back.

After mall
We head home and I actually ended up with a couple bags of clothes, because Grayson kept buying everything I said looked good ,
"Thanks Grayson, I had a good day"
"That's good, I'll see you tomorrow at school right?"
"Yep, bye" I say and walk to my house since he parked in his driveway.
I head to my room and take a shower after I'm done I changed into booty short and a oversize shirt, I hear the door bell ring so I go downstairs to answer it and I see a face which made me want to cry.
"Dad!"
"Hey sweetie" my heart dropped, why is my dad here, he left me and mum and had another family. I go to shut the door but he stops it
"Why are you here"
"I can't see my daughter before her birthday"
"You haven't seen me in like 4 years, so why now"
"I miss you" he says
"Bullshit, get out of the property and even better state, I don't want you here and I never want to see you"
He walks to his car and drives away, I close the door and run to my room and jump on my bed and started crying, this is why I need Ethan, he always has been here for me when my dad left, I need him

Me:please believe me
Ethan❤️: I don't know if I can believe anyone at the moment
Me:my dad just showed up
Ethan❤️: are you okay
Me: not at the moment
He opens it but doesn't answer, which made me cry more, I soon hear my door open I look and see Ethan, I jump in his arms and start crying
"What happened"
"He said he missed me"
"He acted like we just saw each other the other day" he just holds me tighter
"I hate him Ethan"
"I know" he carries my to my bed and we just sit there and cuddle.
"I never want to lose you E, please believe me"
"I missed you Mads, I never realised how much you mean to me till I was mad at you, and I realise now that I was stupid and a dick, I'm so sorry" he admits
"I love you E"
"I love you too Mads" I soon drifted off the sleep in his arms, with a smile on my face. I'm glad I didn't lose my best friend.
