Grayson's POV
it's been a month and 2 weeks and Maddie still hasn't woken up, the doctors are starting to get worried, everyone has been going in to speak to her, except me. I hate her and to be honest I'm kinda over people telling me to go see her, it's my choice and I don't have anything to say to her. Everyone was in my hospital room talking to each other when the doctor bursts in,
"Sorry to intrude, I'm just letting you know Maddie is awake and want to see everyone" the doctor tell us. Before I could even blink every was out and going to see her, I just stayed in bed I had nothing to say to her and she would probably kick me out if I went it.
"Come on Grayson, you haven't seen her" my mum speaks up
"Fineeee" I get up and start walking to her room, you could here chattering and everyone asking is she remembers them. I walk in with my mum and it catches everyone attention
"Ummm Ethan why is there two of you" she asks while laughing but also worried in her voice.
"What do you mean mads thats Grayson" he replies
"Well it's nice to meet you Grayson"
"We have already met Maddie" I say while lifting an eyebrow.
"Honey, if you trying to joke around with us please tell us now" Angie asked
"I'm sorry, I don't remember you" she had sadness in her eyes, she felt bad. It kinda hurt that she didn't remember me, everyone goes back to making small talk so I just play on my phone. Maddie talks to Ethan and he seems to tell everyone something and they start walking out I go to follow when I hear her voice.
"U-uh G-Grayson right?" She stutters
"Yeah"
"Come sit down" she pats her bed, I didn't know what to do so I just stayed still.
"Or not, that's fine"
"So since I can't remember you, tell me stuff about yourself"
"Okay Maddie, you may have forgotten me, but I haven't forgotten you. Maddie we hate each other"I speak up
"Why" I could tell she was so confused
"Because I left you when you needed me the most and since that we have hated each other"
"Oh, well maybe since I can't remember you we can you know become friends and restart" she says happily.
"Well that's fine with you because you can't remember me, but I remember you Maddie which makes it hard".
"It doesn't have to be"
" I think it's time for everyone to come back in" I walk over to the door and tell everyone to come back in.
2 hours later
Everyone is ready to leave since it's late
"Mum can someone stay with me I don't want to be alone" Maddie asks
"Yes! Of course I'll stay here and sl-" before she could finish Maddie speaks up
"Actually I was hoping Grayson could so I can talk to him and try to remember him" she states. I turn my head to her with confusion all over my face
"Yes, that's fine he can sleep on the pull out couch. We are going to leave now so goodnight guys" Angie comments. Soon after everyone leaves it becomes quiet.
Maddie's POV
It was silent, I try to think of what to say before he beats me to it.
"Why did you want me to stay Maddie" he asks
"Like I said before, I want to get to know you"
"Oh and you can call me mads you know"
"That's not what you said 2 months ago" he rolls his eyes.
"Well that's when I 'hated you' now I don't"
"You hate me Maddie and stop denying it" he whisper- yells
"Sorry" was all I say. It turns silent again so I turn the light off and pull the covers up and try to sleep, but there was one question stuck in my head.
"Grayson" I say
"Mmmm"
"Why did you leave me"
"To be honest I can't remember" he states
"Oh okay, good night" I whisper. He didn't say anything back so I just went to sleep.
