ps. I use German at one point and Idk any German so I used Google translate. if you speak it or know it, let me know if there are mistakes and I will do my best to fix them!

Louis' POV

"Haz, come on! Get your stuff up here," I call. I rush down the stairs and start grabbing his suitcase, bringing into my room in my aunt's house.

"What's the rush?" Harry asks as he chases me up the stairs.

"My aunt and uncle from Germany are coming today," I reply.

"What? I thought they weren't coming until tomorrow.... Louis?" Harry shoots me a look of desperation, his eyes wide and his nostrils flaring.

"I thought so too, but their flight changed," I reply, avoiding eye contact.

"Who's flight changes to an earlier date?" Harry asks. He raises an eyebrow and folds his arms over his chest, which is covered in a fuzzy blue sweater. "You lied to me."

I bite my lip, turning to face him. "Okay, fine," I admit. "I lied. But it was only because I knew you wouldn't come spend New Years with us if you knew my whole family would be here!"

Harry makes a choking sound and I just know it's gonna be bad. I definitely crossed the line.

"Fuck, yeah I wouldn't have come!" he nearly shouts. "Your aunt doesn't speak to me, and your parents refuse to use English. Now we're adding two more of these people to the mix? Are you trying to kill me?"

"Actually.... four," I say, wincing. He's going to bury me alive.

"Four?!" he says, throwing his hands up into the air. He begins to laugh, hysterically, and his eyes get all wide and crazy. "That's fucking amazing Louis. Four more of them. Wow."

"Well, yeah, it's my uncle's two friends...." I begin.

"And they're all staying here?" he asks. Our faces are so close that they're almost touching, but I know he isn't trying to kiss me anytime soon.

I swallow. "Yup."

"Oh my fucking god," Harry rages. "I hate you so much, Louis Tomlinson."

With that, he storms out of my room and into the bathroom, where he stays for the next hour. I don't even try to get him to come out. I know he's way too upset right now - and for good reason. I tricked him, lied to him, and was being a selfish prick.

But honestly, I was just trying to keep the peace. You see, my parents absolutely forbid me from going out on New Years with Harry. They wanted me to spend it with them, at the German Heritage club. Harry, obviously, wanted to hang out on New Years, maybe hit up some bars or just cuddle and watch chick flicks.

I obviously couldn't do both. When my mother suggested inviting Harry to the heritage event and taking him with us, I thought it was the perfect plan. I would get to spend time with both of them, my family and the man I love. As it should be, right?

The only problem is, my family doesn't really like Harry, and Harry is scared shitless of them. Hence, why I had to lie to get him to even come at all.

That's not to say that what I did was right. It certainly wasn't. But it was the best plan I could come up with and I have to just sit back now and hope that Harry will forgive me. Otherwise it'll all go to shit.

Eventually, Harry comes out of the bathroom, making a pouty face and giving me a dirty look. "Don't talk to me," he mutters as he goes into his suitcase to grab his laptop. "Just need this."
