Christmas Kisses

"What do you get a bunch of rambunxious teenage twin girls and a nervous, possibly chihuahua like gay boy for Christmas?" I turn to Sheppard who gives me a disbelieving look.

"How the fuck would I know?" He runs a hand over magnets made of plastic stones.

"I don't know. I guess you'd be more helpful with the nervous chihuahua boy. You guys are similar," I shrug and Sheppard gasps.

"What? Am I not like a chihuahua or gay? What the fuck, Barkley, that's so rude!" I shrug again and keep looking at all the things around me.

"Trust me, you're more similar to him than you think,"I mutter softly and look at the mugs.

What am I going to get them? Riley and Reagan are similar, so maybe I get them something similar. Or is that offensive? I haven't known too many twins in my life, let alone shopped for them.

"What about a sparkly wineglass?" Sheppard holds up a hot pink glittered wine glass with an evil smirk.

I laugh, "Oh yeah. They'd love that but I doubt their parents would let me inside again."

I sigh and look around the store feeling hopeless. I've never been good at planning presents. Lots of times, my best presents just come from something random I see in a store that seems right.

"What are we getting Mom and Dad? They're the hardest ones," Sheppard points out.

I pout and follow him as we weave through the store, "I don't know. I'll probably get them something in Reno. They have better shops. Plus we have more time. I need to get something for the triplets before we leave or I'll never get around to it."

Sheppard holds up a bag of chocolate gold coins, "Chocolate?"

"Hi, Barkley, what evil things are inside those bags?" Reagan moves out of the way so I can come inside. I catch her trying to look in one of the two Christmas bags I have in my hands.

"Merry Christmas, Bitches. Saint Bark has brought presents for all the good triplets," I sing and round the couch so I'm sitting next to Riley.

Reagan sits down on the other side of Riley, "One, you seriously didn't have to get us anything. Two, we just started Christmas break, and there's still two weeks till it's actually Christmas."

I roll my eyes and set down the small little box behind me, "One, of course, I got you something I'm a decent person and I love spending money. Two, I leave for Arizona tomorrow and won't be back till right before new years. So shut up and open your presents."

I hand Riley the bag with snowmen all over it, and Reagan gets the one with snowflakes falling. They both give me an unsure look but careful pull out the tissue paper.

I smile when they both gasp at the sight of their parents, "Barkley, thank you so much!"

"Yeah, thank you, Barkley, this is so nice!"

I shrug with a smug smile. I had settled on getting Riley a spa kit and Reagan got a porcelain tree to hold her necklaces. They seem like I don't like Riley as much as Reagan, but I know for a fact Riley absolutely hates her fingernails and toes naked and is always doing face masks. And Reagan has at least twenty necklaces she interchanges.

"Its whatever. You guys are like my best friends," They aww and quickly embrace me in a tight hug.

"Barkley, we love you. Well, most of the time," Riley giggles but I laugh and roll my eyes as we pull away.

"Don't make me cry. I'm wearing waterproof mascara but we all know that's a lie," I wipe under my eyes and stand up, "Ok, is Rey home?"

"Yeah, he's probably asleep, TBH," Reagan shrugs and I smirk picking up my little box.
