"Where are you going?" FP asked as Jughead left the trailer.
"Since when do you care?" Jughead mumbled and ran down the stairs. It was almost 4pm and Jughead had waited long enough. Given her enough space.
"I've always cared about you, Jug." Jughead's heart skipped a beat when he heard the nickname Betty had used more times than any Serpent had called him by the name "Jughead". He was going to fix this. He promised himself that. He had to. After all, she was his.
"Yeah, you really cared about me when you started drinking. Or do you mean the time you hit mom? Or maybe the time you trashed the trailer and I cleaned it up? Or the time you were accused of murder? Oh no you have to mean all the times you've called me a mistake, a horrible person, a burden or the time you told me you wanted to kill me because I was so annoying. Remember that, dad?" FP stared at him but walked back inside."Where's Betts?" Jughead asked Archie and he just shrugged. "Really helpful assface." Jughead kept walking. He knew he didn't fit in, that everyone stared at his Serpent jacket. He smiled at the attention he was getting. He saw Veronica and rushed to her side. "Hello." He said with a big smirk. She glared at him. "Where's Betty?" He asked.
"Why would I answer that?" She asked.
"Because I made sure Toni was the one to babysit you yesterday. Imagine if it would've been that guy who said that Betty sounded hot." Jughead shook his head. That guy was really gross and Jughead might as well kill him in the future or something.
"Fine, I think she went home for lunch. But she wasn't in maths nor English literature. Which is weird. Cause she loves it." Veronica said and looked a little confused. "Wait, didn't you two fight?"
"I'm going to make it up to her. Is she at home?" Jughead asked and Veronica nodded.
"Might as well go with you, if that's okay. I kinda have to apologize." She almost whispered.
"What did you do?" Jughead asked and she answered that she had overreacted when Betty said she didn't know what Jughead had done. Jughead sighed.
"I don't dislike you Veronica. I just happen to hate your father. That's it. I don't want to hurt you, but I know I have. And I apologize for that. But your dad is about to fuck up my home. About to destroy every little fucking thing the Serpents have worked for." Veronica agave him a smile.
"I know."Jughead pulled over by Pop's and Veronica raised her brow.
"I thought we were going to Betty's?" Jughead nodded and got out of the car.
"We are. I'm just going to give her a hamburger and a milkshake." Jughead smiled.
"You're weird." Jughead rolled his eyes.
"In case you haven't noticed. I'm weird. I'm a weirdo." He said with a weird voice as if he wanted to mock her. She laughed and rolled her eyes even more than him. "Was that what you wanted to hear princess?" Veronica sighed and got out of the car.
"You're annoying too."
"I never said anything else." Veronica scoffed and they walked inside."One strawberry milkshake and one hamburger, no tomato, no mustard, one extra pickle." He was amazed by his own order and almost laughed at how much he had gotten to know her the past few days. Pop gave him a long look and then looked at Veronica.
"New girl every week." He mumbled and Jughead wanted to punch his stupid face.
"Excuse me?" He said but Pop just shook his head. When he handed Jughead the milkshake and burger in a brown bag Jughead gave him his money, without tip, and walked outside. He rang the door bell over and over again but no one opened. What if she's at Archie's? Where is Archie?
"You think she's with Archie?" Jughead scoffed. Veronica shook her head.
"He has an extra lesson on Tuesdays. Not the smartest guy I could date." Veronica said in an attempt to a joke. Jughead presses down the handle and found the door opened. He reminded himself to yell at her for not locking the door. Someone might hurt her. Or rob her. Or do whatever to her cute face. He walked inside and saw two hamburgers perfectly placed on two plates. Jughead walked inside the kitchen and saw the mess Betty had made when she or some guy had cooked. He immediately felt jealous. Who the fuck had she planned to eat with? Why isn't it cleaned? And why the hell is the burgers untouched. What if- he couldn't even finish the sentence.
"Looks like someone had a date...where the burgers weren't the main course." Veronica laughed but Jughead gave her a glare that could potentially be the fucking death of her.
"Shut up." He mumbled.
"I was just joking, Jughead." She said as he rushed upstairs.
"Betty!" He shouted and entered her room. No one. He let out a breath and smiled. She's not fucking someone at least. If only he knew...
