As soon as we walked into the hallway of the dorm building, all eyes were on us. There weren't too many other boys, maybe like nine in the hallway but it felt like there were a million glaring eyes on me, burning through my skin.

I wondered how often they see humans, if maybe I was the first one in years or maybe they saw them often and I just smelled really nice. Either way, all eyes were on me and I was uncomfortable with it.

I knew with Jisung here with me, they couldn't hurt me but it still felt like I was in a lot of danger. Jisung had begun to walk forward, I didn't. If we walked, I'd be closer to the vampires and I didn't want that.

Sure, around him they aren't meant to hurt me but maybe they can't control it. I'd seen movies where vampires suddenly are taken over by their thirst for blood, spring on humans and attack them without even wanting to. I knew it was unlikely, however it still stuck firmly in my mind and glued me to my spot.

He noticed that I hadn't moved, looking back at me with that annoyed look still on his face. I was so scared he'd come back and yell at me, or still force me forward but the look seemed to ease until he just looked at me sympathetically.

He came back over to me, really close and held my hands in his and attempted to meet my eyes. I didn't let him, I didn't want to meet his eyes. He didn't seem to mind too much.

"They won't hurt you, Nattie. I wouldn't let them even if they tried, okay?"

He spoke softly, so genuinely and I really wanted to believe them. I knew he was right, deep down inside of me I did but I couldn't stop this irrational fear I had.

I tried to speak, not really knowing what to say. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be. Just stay close to me. Do you want to take my hand?"

I laughed a little. "Like I'm a child?"

"Exactly," He laughed too. "Would it make you feel better?"

I decided to be honest. "It would."

He held onto one of my hands and lead me through the crowd, who didn't speak a word. I imagined as soon as we passed, they'd begin talking. In fact, holding hands probably wasn't helping that very much. However, none of them bit me and that was the main thing.

His room was all the way down the hallway, near the end of the hall and It felt like the hall was running away from us so we'd never reach it. We finally reached it, him flinging the door open with a loud and dramatic "Ta-Da!"

His room looked like any twenty one year old boys room. Again, it left me feeling a little shocked. I wasn't sure what I was expecting to see when he opened that door, I guess blood packs and dead bodies.

We walked in, me happy to be out of the sight of the boys in the hall. This all felt so silly, that he lived in a dorm and had a normal blue room, went to school, had a nice Father who spoke so softly.

This is all just too much.

Jisung shut the door, flopping down on his bed and closing his eyes. He looked like a statue like that, when he was sitting completely still, not even moving to breath.

"Do vampires sleep?"

He didn't open his eyes. "We can if we want but we don't have to. It gets a bit boring being up for an entire twenty four hours, so I usually do."

"What do vampires do in school?"

"Why do you always have so many questions?" He asked, sounding genuinely annoyed.

"I mean, I normally don't have that many questions but sometimes vampires come into your life and kind of introduce some new concepts."

He smiled just slightly. "We learn the basic things that humans do and plus some other things."

"What other things?"

"Oh, wouldn't you like to know," He said, a massive mischievous grin spreading onto his face.

"Usually I'd argue but I'm guessing no matter what I say, you won't tell me anything."

"Hey, you're learning." He opened his eyes and I felt almost dizzy under his gaze. "You should go for a shower. If you show up looking like that, my Mother will tear you apart." My eyes widened and he clearly noticed. "Not literally."

"Jisung, can you please tell me why I'm here?"

"I said to go for a shower. Plus, I'm in desperate need of blood so if you don't go then you'll have to watch me drink it."

I felt myself pale at the idea of that. I wasn't even sure how he'd drink it. Did he just have a bag of blood? I knew I didn't want to find out so I just headed into the bathroom for my shower.
