*a lot of people don't seem to know what primark is, so I'll explain before the chapter! It's literally just a verrrry cheap clothing shop in Britain!*
I locked the door and suddenly felt safer than I had before. I knew it was stupid. In fact, I'm sure Jisung could break down the door if he really wanted but the door was a physical barrier between us. It felt like here, no one could get me.
I stripped off my clothes, not taking my time and hurried into the shower. Usually, I sped through my showers since the orphanages water temperature was lukewarm at best but here the water was heated perfectly. And against my sore body, it felt amazing.
My entire body felt knotted and twisted up, but I finally felt like I was calm again. I leaned against the wall and tried not to think. For just the ten or so minutes I had in this shower, I wanted to forget everything.
I washed my hair and felt such relief to at the smell of the strawberry shampoo and conditioners. I tried to imagine I was back at the orphanage and that everything that had happened had just been a bad dream and nothing more. I almost laughed at how scared I'd been of my bullies. Compared to this, they were nothing.
I finally turned off the shower and wrapped my body in one of Jisung's towels. It was ten times softer than the ones at the orphanage. In the bathroom, there was a full length body mirror and I could now see myself.
The shower had helped make me look slightly better, but I was still pretty horrible looking. It looked like I had black eyes, my skin was far paler than normal and I had bruises on me from when Jisung had tackled me.
Am I going to survive this?
Suddenly there was a knock at the door, startling me. I waited for a moment, wondering if maybe I'd just imagined it but I came again along with a voice.
"You okay in there?"
"Yeah, I'm fine."
"I've got new clothes for you, since your old ones are a bit...ruined."
I looked down at my towel, wondering if he seriously wanted me to open the door like this. "I'm only wearing a towel right now."
"I don't mind," He teased. I felt myself glow red from that comment. "I'm kidding. I won't look. I promise."
I wasn't sure I believed him but I didn't want to get into my old clothes, so I did as he'd asked. When I opened the door, I saw Jisung standing their with his eyes firmly closed holding the clothes in his out stretched arms.
It felt very sweet of him to actually be shutting his eyes. It made me smile for a brief second. I took the clothes off him, closing the door.
"Thank you," I said to him, loudly to be sure he could hear me. Of course he can, he could hear me if I'd whispered it!
"I'm sorry they're so ill fitting. I didn't really think to have clothes for you so they're mine."
He's giving me...his clothes?
"It's okay."
"We'll go shopping soon and I'll let you get new ones if you like."
I heard him walk away from the door and I quickly got changed, looking towards myself in the mirror I laughed at how goofy I looked.
He'd given me blue tracksuit trousers that were far too baggy for me but lucky had a drawstring to keep them in place. The top had some sort of sports logo on it and was also extremely baggy. I stared at myself for another minute or so, feeling the reality of the situation slowly settle back into me.
