Chapter 4 -Friendships & Flirting

Jamie's POV.

I ran my fingers through my hair and sped down the hallway.I needed a story to feed to my friends.
I tripped.
I walked into a wall.
Think .Jamie.Think.
Back at Hylton High they never asked but I'm guessing here it's quite different.
"Walker?"
My body came to a halt at the sound of a familiar voice.
I turned to see a tan figure.
"I don't believe it!Adam Martin!"
Adam pulled me into a hug and smiled.
"It's been so long,I swear I'm so happy right now that I could just kiss you",he laughed.
"Just knowing you could is enough."
"What's up man?Hylton High get a little too boring for you?"
"You know how my father is",I shrugged.
"That's enough of an explanation right there,hey how's your mom and Jo?I just saw Jared."
"Mom's good she goes through a lot for us you know and Jonah that little devil I could just kill him."
"Just knowing you could is enough...you getting into fights already?What's with the busted up face?"
"Soccer."
"It's the pitch Jamie,not the pentagon."
"Octagon."
"Same thing."
"I've got to get to the west wing,Kaylin needs some help with his research assignment.You coming?",I asked.
"Kaylin?Womaniser Kaylin?"
I laughed.
"He's friendly. Basically my only friend at the moment. "
"Well you have me now,I'll catch up with you later,I got to go see my girl."
"Girl?"
"Yes,and you know I want you to meet her. Later on today we're going out and a few of her friends are coming along.You in?Maybe we can get you a girlfriend",Adam smirked.
"I already have my eye on a girl and besides you know how my parents are,I'm like in prison."
"You need to tell me more about this girl,I don't want another Angela in your life."
I sighed.
"You and Jared need to be ready by five,ask your mom nicely.I'll pick you guys up.I'm sure seeing my handsome face will convice Aunty Natalie."
"She does really like you. Agh fine,see you later."

I made my way to the west wing and found Aria. She was in most of my classes, she was very flirty and a good friend of Kaylin's, the only guy who spoke to me on the first day.
Aria was talking to some bushy haired kid.
She noticed me and came toward me.
"Hey handsome."
"Hi",I smiled.
"Hug me silly",she said grabbing me.
I didn't fight her but instead I let her wrap her hands around me.
As I pulled away from the hug I saw Mia standing at her locker.She was looking at me and when she saw me she turned and began walking.
"I gotta go Aria",I said jetting off after Mia.
"Mia!Hey wait up!"
She stopped and turned to me.Her brown eyes mesmerizing me.
"What happened to your face?"
"I was playing soccer,you how guys are",I shrugged.
"No."
"No what?"
"No I'm not buying your story."
"You think I'm lying?"
"I know you're lying Jamie",she shook her head and continued walking.
I wanted to go after her but I didn't know what to say to her and I didn't want to lie.

Mia's Pov.

I layed horizontally across Yoko's bed and waited for my phone to automatically connect to the Wi-Fi.It's times like this I pat myself on the back for not ignoring Yoko back in eighth grade when she spoke to me for the first time.The poor Asian girl was very awkward looking and the best plan she could come up with was befriending an even awkwarder looking inhaler dependant,people hating child.
"I'm ready to get started",Yoko said entering the room.
"And I am ready to stalk Zayn Malik",I smiled.
"I'm starting to envy your presence."
"Well hearing my best friend say that doesn't hurt at all."
"It's just that I have so much work to do and we still have to go to supper with Penelope and Adam",Yoko said with a disgusted look.
"Can we just die?"
"Don't talk about death Mia,you know how I feel about that."
"Fine then just shoot me in the leg or something",I groaned.
"Maybe we can hook you up with one of Adam's friends",Yoko smirked as she jumped onto the bed.
"I would have better luck hooking up my bra without the aid of a mirror",I rolled my eyes.
"Oh Penelope told me about that guy Jamie."
"Oh really,what did she say?",I asked sitting up.
"That you have taken an interest in him",Yoko nodded.
"He's hot,that much I'll admit but you guys know I'm not ready for a relationship yet.And I don't even think he likes me."
"Why wouldn't he?"
"Because I'm so great."
"Shut up we need to get ready too.'
