A seagull flew over our heads and let out a screech, which sounded like laughter. Yoongi watched it untill it fully disappeared behind a pair of trees.

I was deep in my thoughts. "Do you think that Jimin-"

Yoongi let out a soft sigh. He was still a bit touchy when I tried to talk about Jimin or anything related to the events from last time.

"Sorry", I muttered.

We stayed silent, even when we approached the cliff path. However, there was another road to the right, which led down to the beach. Thankfully, we took that one.  I realized how I was subconciously afraid that Yoongi was going to go the other way, towards the cliffs.

The path became steep and we had to watch out where we stepped. That was why it took Yoongi a moment to speak.
"No, it's fine", he said as he pushed away a branch blocking the way. "Maybe we should really start talking about it, now that we're actually here."

Finally, I thought to myself. Up until now, he had ignored me every single time I had tried to talk to him about it. I only guessed that talking about the events in therapy had already been more than enough for him.

"You know what I keep asking myself?", he asked.

I shook my head with mixed feelings.

"I'd like to know if Jimin lost his mind because of Minah's death, or already before that."

I had asked myself that question a lot as well. I only knew from stories that Jimin hadn't been happy with his life before Minah, but had he already been as crazy then?

Yoongi broke a twig he had been holding in his hand."I guess we'll never find out."

Next to the boat house at the beach, on the sunburnt wooden tiles, two figures were relaxing in the sun.

"Great", Yoongi remarked sarcastically. "Just what we needed right now..."
I wondered what he meant.

One of the two figures noticed us and sat up. He was a young man, about our age. He still had his shirt on as he jogged over to us, leaving the other guy on the towel behind. Even with the shirt on, I could tell that training his body must have been important to him. The other person back on the towel must have been sleeping, as he didn't move a muscle.

As the boy came to stand before us, I recalled having seen him once before. He smiled.

"I didn't know you guys were invited as well", Yoongi stated in a rather picky tone.

The boy didn't seem to hear the true intent of that comment and simply smiled.
"Yeah, my father... You know."

Again? Did everyone in this place work for Yoongi's dad? Were they in some damn cult?

"I'm Jeon Jungkook", the boy stated and held out his hand to me. I wasn't used to shaking hands, but I took it anyways, to be polite. I told him my name as well.

His face was basically shining at me. Yoongi gave him a stare and he pulled his hand back. I did recall Hoseok introducing us briefly at his New Year's party, but he probably didn't remember me. Besides, I had been busy with other things back then...

"When did you guys arrive?", Jungkook asked.

"Earlier today", my boyfriend replied with no interest. He then excused us and pulled me along to a spot in safe distance from the boat house.

We placed our towels in the sand and went into the water. We just swam next to each other without saying much. Of course, I was curious to know why Yoongi didn't like Jungkook that much, but now wasn't the right time. Mind you, Yoongi didn't really like anyone apart from Hoseok and me. When I got tired of swimming, Yoongi told me to go back by myself.
"I'll stay for a bit longer", he said.

He swam over to me, pulled me in for a kiss with which we almost drowned because we couldn't move properly.

"Hey", I chuckled and coughed.
He lifted a hand out of the water and brushed away a few drops from my face.  Then, he turned away and continued to swim with wide strokes. Maybe he still needed a bit of time to get used to this place again and realize that there was no more danger for us.

I swam back to the beach and walked through the shallow water towards our towels. I lost my balance for a second and stood back up, my foot in pain. I had stepped onto an urchin. Just my luck... I tried to make it back to the towel without getting sand into the wound. A few blood drops came out of the spot.

"Is everything alright?"
A shadow formed above me. It was not Jungkook, but probably the other one that had been asleep earlier. He seemed really familiar as well.

"Yeah, I just stepped onto one of these guys", I muttered and threw the spikes I had pulled out of my foot as far away as I could.

He kneeled next to me. "Let me see."

I wanted to decline, but he had already taken my foot and was examining it professionally.

"I did an apprenticeship as a life guard once." He let a little more blood run out. "It looks worse than it actually is, but wearing high heels tonight will be a problem."

"I figured as much."

He smiled. "I'm Kim Taehyung, by the way."
Ah right, the other one of the drunk duo at Hoseok's New Year's Eve party. Before I could even say my name, he told me that he remembered me from that time.

"Well, try not to get sand into that wound", he advised. "See you tonight."

"Yeah, see you then."

As I looked back at the ocean, I saw Yoongi as a small black dot moving towards the shore. He was on his way back.

When he returned, I was drawing waves onto the sand with a stick.

"What's that supposed to be?" The little driplets from his hair were all over my work of art, since he was leaning over it. I shrugged.

Suddenly, he dropped a huge sea shell onto my drawing, making me flinch.

"What? You don't like it?", he asked, referring to the conch.

"No, no. I do", I assured him and examined the shell.

Yoongi noticed something wasn't right. "You okay?"

"Yeah", I sighed. "I just stepped onto an urchin."

His expression didn't change and for a moment I was sure that he had no clue what I was talking about. And I was right.

"A what?"

"Those sea hedgehog thingies. Like, the small, prickly ones", I gestured with my hands.

He pulled a face. "Oh, ouch."

With a towel, he dried his hair, face and neck. "Need some help with it?"

"Jungkook's friend helped me out already."

Yoongi's gaze roamed over to the boat house, where the two guys were sunbathing. Well, where Taehyung was. Jungkook had so much sunscreen on his face, that you couldn't really call that sunbathing. Yoongi simply nodded and looked at me again.

"Be careful with that one", he calmly advised.

"No worries", I said, even though I didn't know what exactly he meant by that.

My eyes scanned Yoongi's body for a second, but I looked away quickly. I didn't want to seem like one of those girls that were obsessed with staring at guys' abs. However, he didn't miss out on that.

"What are you staring at?", he cheekily asked.

"Nothing."

Finally, I saw his gummy smile after what had seemed like weeks.
"You can't handle my buff, masculine physique, can you?", he sarcastically remarked.

I rolled my eyes. "Come on. Let's go back to the house."

"Let's freshen up and rest. The torture begins tonight", he said in an over-dramatic tone.

I couldn't agree more.
