Braylee sighed as she watched Peter pull up to the house. It was Friday evening and Gen had gone out with her new boyfriend and Bray was currently studying while sitting in her window seat with a heat pack on her hip.
She set aside her binder and stood up while clutching the now slightly warm heat pack. Braylee walked down the stairs and watched as Peter walked in. Her mother and father were away for the weekend for their anniversary so the house was dead quiet.
"Hey Bray." Peter greeted her and grabbed the heat pack from her hand and walked to the kitchen with Bray protesting and trailing behind him.
"Peter! I can do it myself!" Bray exclaimed but the click of the microwave being shut made her stop and stare at him.
"I know. But I got to make sure my fake girlfriend is doing okay because otherwise I won't be happy. Now stop being independent for once." Peter turned after punching in three minutes on the microwave. Her looked at her with a smug smirk indicating that he was joking.
"I'll stop being independent when you stop worrying about me." Bray told him as she turned to the cupboards to grab a glass.
"Kind of impossible." Peter quipped back which caused Bray to let out a dry laugh. "How's the bruise anyways?"
"It's okay. It's slowly going away which I'm thankful for. Still hurts a lot." Bray admitted to him while filling her glass with water. She told her parents that it was basically healed and it wasn't in any pain just to get them to leave her alone about it.
"Can I see?" He asked walking up to the blonde who held the glass to her lips. She froze when his hands grasped the end of her hoodie and lifted it up to her ribs. He tugged a little on the waistband of her sweatpants just to see more of it. The waistband of her underwear was showing and she felt a little self conscious before Peter nodded and gently set the waistband of her sweats back on her skin and lowered her hoodie.
"It is looking better." He told her. He smiled gently at her. He knew about the effect he had on her and it confused her. Why would he do it if he didn't like her?
Braylee nodded and sipped her water and then the loud beeping from the microwave indicated it was finished. Peter opened it and grabbed the heat pack.
"Scram. Upstairs. Go." He motioned her out of the kitchen and she rolled her eyes and obliged while climbing the climbing the stairs.
"You know. It's sort of a turn off when guys are bossy." Bray smirked as she went and sat on her window seat. Peter clicked his tongue and walked up to her. He grabbed her arms and pulled her to her feet before turning her to the bed. He stepped closer to her and she stepped back before she hit the bed.
