"Isis, will you please stop fidgeting it's very distracting" Osiris complained for the fifth time. I couldn't help it, the large rock-like seats were just so uncomfortable, however Osiris didn't seem to notice. "How can you stand these seats-they're awful!" i groaned, twisting to hammer the back of the seat a few times."Don't damage it! This is only a rental, and once we get to the drop off we're handing it over to Bomani and you know how he is." He advised, a worried scowl appearing on his face.
Osiris's best warrior was definitely a force to be reckoned with but with a smart-ass gob he had more fights then you can count on one chalk board- believe me, we tried. However, I could understand Osiris anxiety, Bomani was extremely loyal almost to the point of stupidity, so it was possible there'd be a fight and this one I was sure my opponent would be trying his best to mush me into a bloody pancake. Oh, what a wonderful thought...not.
I patted Osiris's arm, trying to sooth him;it seemed to work as the tension in his shoulders relaxed. "So how long till we get to this "drop off point"? I mean seriously we been driving for what, about 4 hours?" I remarked, sounding a bit ired-that got me a look. He took a few seconds before replying, seeming very smug about it "We here."
My eyes widened in surprise. I gawked at the mini car park and the modest looking pub, with very traditional features. "You can't be serious?" I asked absurdly.
A sharp knock on my window, resulted in me violently flinching and then slamming the glass with a solid punch. "Ouch!" I whined loudly, cradling my injured fist. The deranged laughter brought my head up to stare with narrowed furious eyes at Bomani. I grabbed the door handle with my uninjured hand and yanked the door open; affectly swatting him with the hard metal and earning a growled response. Now I was the one smirking as I strutted out of the vehicle. "Well hello Bomani. Have you missed me?" I said with a flutter of my eyelashes.
"Damn, Isis your actually hot!" Bomani exclaimed in disbelief. I blinked yet again momentarily stunned, nobody ever said something to me like that before.
"And your just as stupid." I murmured sarcastically. Now I heard two chuckles, as Osiris finally joined us by the pub's swinging door. I was glad I wasn't alone but standing in the darkness i could feel it's secrets beginning to crawl under my skin. I hurriedly pushed through the door.
