I looked at the baby as it was shoved into my hands. What the hell was happening? I had only just gotten back from Training overseas and then the kingdom guards show up at my door and shove a kid in my hands. I wasn't even married much less old enough to be a dad!
"Mr. Okulim, this is Yukinari Rift. The King has asked you to raise and train him. He trusts you with the upbringing of the Neko," one of the guards said before bowing and leaving. I just stood there in shock. I looked at the kid in my arms. His eyes blinked open and immediately I was drawn to this boy. There were stars glittering in his dark brown eyes and when I saw his tiny cat ears I knew. This Neko would need my help.
