It was nearly time for the expedition. Those of my friends that had decided to become scouts would be heading this way any day now. Honestly, I had missed them.
Eren has been making some progress ever since the spoon incident. However, it seems it still takes a lot out of him. Things have been strange around here lately though. Petra has become very soft spoken and Levi seems to have been picking on me and Eren a lot lately. I haven't had much time to spend with Eren because of it, but he seems to be handling himself well-enough.
I swear, sometimes, I just can't read him. That man I admire isn't all that I had envisioned him to be, but I can't hate him. I still want to be near him, but somehow my feelings for him have begun to change. No matter how much he annoys me with his constant chores I still feel butterflies when his eyes meet mine or when I hear his footsteps approaching my room. After that night I woke up back in my room I noticed he had begun checking to make sure I was in bed at light's out. Often scolding me about my sleeping habits. I never asked about that night since I somehow felt I already knew the answer.
I sigh as I walk outside eyes closed and head tilted down. I hear voices and lift my head looking to the group walking by. The sudden commotion interrupting my thoughts. Eren runs passed me and up to Mikasa, Armin, and the others. I gasp and run up shortly after him.
"Hey! Is this everybody??" Eren says smiling looking to the group. Some turning away looking down.
Armin and Mikasa look to each other before Armin speaks up, "Annie joined MP..."
