We looked for Bailey first. We each grabbed a few dresses and put her in the changing room with them.
She came out in a gold, silk one that looked like it should be going to a Christmas party. We shook our heads for that one.
Then, she tried on a shimmery dark blue one. It was gorgeous, but too much for dinner.
When she came out in a red one, we knew it was the one she needed to get. It had long sleeves, a mostly open back, and an A line skirt that reached just above her knees.
Next up was Veronica. She was set on a dark blue she'd seen when we walked in. It had cap sleeves and a bottom that fit like a pencil skirt.
When it was my turn, all the options they picked were black. When questioned they insisted you couldn't go wrong with a little black dress.
The first was strapless and I felt uncomfortable.
The next had a swing dress style and didn't seem right for the occasion.
The final dress was snug, they insisted it was supposed to be, and strapless but a layer of lace covered the dress and provided long sleeves.
I smiled at it, "Do we need anything else or are we done here?"
We all payed and left.
Before we knew it, it was time for the girls dates and they came to my place to get ready.
Anne crawled around my bedroom as I ran around helping where I could. I ended up curling Bailey's hair and pulling up Veronica's and adding touch ups to their make up before they left. Anne and I waved them off when their rides arrived.
