Chapter 15: Izana

As Akatsuki walked out of the room the blond's eyes followed her.

'Was that really her?'

Getting up from his seat he exited the room catching a glimpse of red as the girl turned the corner. Following her, she led him to the training area where she meet a guy.

"Sorry I'm late." The redhead said exasperated.

"What did I tell you about pushing yourself." The man scolded.

"Sorry sorry." The girl apologized. "But I'm okay now, honest."

"You say that every time."

"No but I mean it this time, look!"

Undoing the bandages around her arms she revealed her bruised and cut arms.

"See! They're way better."

'That's better?' The blond said to himself surprised.

"Hmm... alright then. Get your sword."

The moment he said those words her eyes lit up and after rewrapping her bandages she grabbed her sword ready to train.

"Aren't we running again today?"

The instructor shook his head. "Today we're focusing on your technique. You're good, but you could be better. Much better."

Taking the words to heart she got into a fighting stance, her smile wide and eyes bright. Watching her fight anyone could see how good of a fighter she was.

"Harder!"

"Yes sir!"

"Faster!"

"Yes sir!"

"Hold it tighter!"

"Yes sir!"

The blond smiled. 'She's working hard.' Having seen enough he walked away. 'It's time to get back to work."

It's been a two weeks since Akatsuki last saw the blond and she couldn't help but wonder about him. However at this moment in time she could care less. The redhead, having nothing to do, decided to stroll around the palace and familiarize herself with its layout. It just so happened that when Akatsuki turned the corner she came face fist with a hard chest. That chest belonged to the one and only...

"Zen?!" Akatsuki called.

"Akat-" Before the prince could even get her full name out he was pulled into a tight embrace.

"I missed you..." Akatsuki whispered.

Surprised by suddenly being hugged Zen tensed but quickly loosened up in the hug. He wrapped an arm around her waist and a hand on top her head, keeping them close together.

"It's good to see you too, Akatsuki."

Hearing her name roll of his tongue made Akatsuki smile. She pulled away slightly to look up at him and couldn't help but gaze at his eyes. They were so much like that blond noble's. Fully pulling away from Zen's touch Akatsuki went and hugged both Mitsuhide and Kiki who were quietly standing behind the platinum blond.

Now standing before all three Akatsuki asked, "When did you all get back?"

"About an hour or so." Mitsuhide replied.
