I was laying in the bed with Liz .
" what was it you needed to tell me." I asked her. " I can't have children". She says sadly.
" that's okay Emmy is a handful anyway so/
" no, I'm pregnant!, but it won't make it, I shouldn't have put you through this heartache." She says. " but ya don't know yet, it'll make it I promise, and your pregnant, hell yeah . " I say. She laughed. We got in the shower, Emmy was already asleep , she slept in her own bunk now. I kissed her gently.
She played with my facial hair . I loved it when she did that.
" The reason I didn't want to tell you, well my ex he got upset , he always wanted babies, it hurt my feelings, and every time he just kept saying we had to keep trying, he never gave me time to heal emotionally before he made me have sex again.". She says.
" I'm sorry darling, but hey; now we'll have another Gilbert". I whisper. " now since I've told ya my story what's yours". She asks dancing her fingers on my tattooed chest.
" what do you mean"? I ask. Rubbing her shoulders. " your story". She whispers.
