Chapter 6

Lu Yan sighed, thinking, 'Finally, my monotonous life of being a nanny is about to end.'

'When will he regain his memories?' He asked, just in case.

【Sorry host. Ah Bao is unable to answer you as the information given to me is limited; I only knew the rough estimate of when it will happen. But be reassured that it will happen any moment or day by now.】

'Hmm, is that so? Ah right before that, Ah Bao why haven't I gotten any task after the previous one?'

【Host, we haven't entered the plot timeline yet. As the story officially started when the protagonist made his revenge. So, Ah Bao didn't issue any tasks yet. But don't be disheartened host, Ah Bao is certainly not slacking off in his work; I will surely and absolutely give you a task that will make your blood boil in thrill and excitement, please do expect it.】

At Ah Bao's heartfelt statement, Lu Yan only feels a shiver down his spine. He certainly didn't want his blood to boil in thrills and excitement, nor does he want to expect it to arrive! He is perfectly fine being idle, really! No need to bother him at all! Please just treat him like air! He doesn't want to be in the limelight!

While Lu Yan and Ah Bao have their small reunion happening, Li Heng was quite concerned about his landlord who has fallen into a daze in a moment. He didn't even move to pick up the broken ceramics littered on the ground. Seeing him silent and lost in thought, Li Heng feels conflicted about whether he should call out to him. But alas, his concern has gotten better off him; does he call out.

"Hey! Are you okay?" He asked with his voice laced with gentle care and concern in them.

Breaking out of his mental conversation with Ah Bao, Lu Yan turned to look at Li Heng. Seeing him worried about him, he felt stupid being caught up in his thoughts.

"Hmm, I'm fine." Having said that, Lu Yan did proceed to clean up the mess he made, else he might carelessly step on it later on.

Done with all his chores, nanny Lu Yan sat on the couch beside Li Heng, taking a deep breath and letting it out, he turned his body and faced Li Heng with a serious expression plastered on his face.

"Ah, when will you go back?" He asked the question that he should have asked days and even months ago to the stranger he picked up and cared for so long, but never inquired anything about him, as though he was quite sure he was a harmless herbivore, or was he?

"Go back?" Li Heng, confused by the sudden serious conversation, entered a state of silence for a moment.

"Yes, don't you have family?" Lu Yan continued, thinking whether the protagonist's IQ has dropped in level after almost drowning himself to death.

"Hmm, family...." Li Heng, as though he was brooding over the word, entered the state of silence for a moment.

"Are you asking me to leave?" Aggrieved, Li Heng asked Lu Yan back. Not sure as to why the question sounded like a grieving abandoned puppy, Lu Yan nevertheless still nodded his head. Really, he isn't waiting for him to be all cautious about him not letting leave his villa, else he might shoot his foot blindly.

"You don't want me anymore? Are you already tired of me? You don't care about me? Am I being a bother to you? Did I do something wrong?"

Under Li Heng's barrage of being a pitiful wife left by his husband speech, Lu Yan only felt his head turned and headaches coming. He really doesn't know why or what warranted him to receive such ungrounded accusations. He means how in the world would he even want him? Why exactly in the world would he even care about him? Well, of course, aside from him being the target of his tasks, he really didn't remember what in the freaking good and bad in the world did he do that actually made the great chosen protagonist bestow him his interest! This is so unscientific!

"No, but I can no longer offer you any help. Because I have some things to do that would require me to return back to the capital thus it would be better for you to go back too." Lu Yan said with no changes in his voice as it remained indifferent as always. Li Heng might have been happy to hear him say a few words but currently he isn't liking the contents of his words, thus he is very upset at the moment.

"What do you want to do in the capital?" Li Heng, nevertheless asked, changing the topic swiftly.

"Not your concern. But, I have to start packing now. And so do you, I'll drop you by on the way if your house is in route to mine; if not, I'll give you some fare for the taxi." Lu Yan also swiftly made an excuse. Truthfully, he doesn't have anything to do in the capital right now; he just simply wanted to stay out of the protagonist's peripheral view, as he wanted to avoid being near him once he regains his memories. Cause he is learning from the previous Lu Yan's mistake of being a sticky rice stalker. Though, he is also counted as a stalker as he needs to monitor him all the time, Lu Yan doesn't want to be so blatant about it.
