Humbly...... I have acknowledged defeat,

For all its intended anti-glory

Why prolong the inevitable?

The end is nigh

A battle horn bellowed of a great coming,

Of untold carnage in a writhing dance

With mayhem unleashed

Into the cauldron of clashing swords and bludgeons,

I leaped.......

As I lie here upon the cold earth,

A smile grimaces its way through the pain, mud, sweat and blood....

For I know I won't leave this battlefield in vain

The thirty that fell by my hand surely understand

Looking up into a smoke-filled sky,

I see circling vultures patiently, awaiting

For my last gasp of sweet breath

I protected the crown until the end.........
