Life is a funny thing
Each day something different it can bring
One day filled with such delight
Then the next so horrid you're in fear you'll never again see daylight
The world is filled with so many treasures
Ones that can fill you up with the greatest pleasures
But watch out there's fools gold
Illusions that seem beautifully precious until their true colors are told
Look before you dive into a tide headfirst
It just might not quench your wanting thirst
Instead leaving you with more scars than when you started
A piece of you sunken to the ocean floor leaving you no longer wholehearted
