You.

Late.

"Pony keep your eyes on the road." I remind him and he smiles.

"C'mon there's nobody on the road in the first place it's not a big deal." He points out but I just shrug. He puts his hand on my thigh and stares at me. I stare back and laugh as I glance at the windshield.

"Pony!" I yell and he turns back to the road just in time for us to be hit. The windshield goes scattering everywhere and the car starts rolling.

"Pony!" I scream as I look over to the drivers side and see that he's not there. When the car stops rolling I somehow manage to climb out of the upside car. I see that the other car is wrecked up and I search for Pony.

Then I see him. He's laying in the middle of the road, eyes closed, blood covering his clothes. I somehow rush over to him and see that's he's not breathing. I start doing CPR and tears fill my eyes as I see it's not working.

"Don't leave me please." I plead. I hear sirens in the distance and some of the people who were near when the crash happened run over to us.

"Who is the boy?" A man asks.

"Ponyboy Curtis. He's my boyfriend." I answer as I keep doing CPR.

"Who are you?" He asks.

"Annabelle Wilson." I say as the ambulances pull up.

"Who is the boy?" A paramedic asks as they continue CPR while I talk to a paramedic.

"He's Ponyboy Curtis. He's seventeen, 6'4 and he's my boyfriend." I tell him. I look back as try continue doing CPR. They do CPR for a good hour to no avail.

"Get the jaws of life!" One of them yells and they hold me back as they shock him.

The scene is terrible. Watching them shock him and lift off the ground a little. It's terrifying.

"I'm sorry.. We can't start his heart."

"Pony!" I yell as I bolt up. Pony stares at me as I notice that he was sitting in a chair next to the couch, holding my hand. I hug him tight and bury my face in his neck. He pulls me onto his lap.

"I'm here.. everything's okay. I'm here." He whispers.

"What was it about?" He asks.

"We got into a car accident and they couldn't start your heart.. you looked so happy though." I explain as I sniffle.

He looks at me and smiles a little. He wipes away my tears and kisses my nose.

"It was just a nightmare.." He reminds me quietly. He kisses me lightly and I just want him to stay.

"Cuddle with me?" I question and he nods.

"Of course." He says and I smile. He lays down on the couch and pulls me onto his chest. I smile as I hear his heart beating.

"I'll protect you from the monsters." He jokes and I laugh.

"That's all I ask.." I whisper and he smiles as he kisses my forehead.

"Thank you for letting me stay." I mumble and he nods.

"Anytime babe." He promises and I smile.

He wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me close to him.

"And in her smile was something more beautiful than the stars. But it was as rare as a diamond in the ocean." He whispers and I look at him. I smile and he smiles back.

He kisses me again and then we both finally fall asleep.
