It seemed like my luck kept getting worse. The walk so far had been over two hours long, I was staying upright on will power alone, but thankfully my pups were asleep in the wolves surprisingly gentle grasp.
"We're almost there, just a few more miles ," I glanced behind me at the blond, I dont know how I looked but his gaze softened.

Ange whimpered in my grasp, his little legs wiggling in the air.
I slowed and set him down, sniffing at him for injuries or abnormalities. Ange half crawled half walked in a little circle, then made his way to my tummy.
I had to stop and sit down, nudge Ange to my chest and let him latch on to eat. The rest of the group also stopped, they set my pups down gently to let them sleep and I kept my eye on them. I gently licked and groomed Ange as he ate and felt his little purrs of content.
"You are a good mother ," I glanced at the blond and looked back down at Ange.
"Thank you ," I looked back at my pups asleep in a pile and unconsciously started to purr.
I felt the tremor in my legs get worse, and my back leg was agonizingly painful. I had to clench my jaw to not whimper in pain.
"You can admit if your in pain." I looked away drawing my lip up.
"I'm fine ," blond gave me a look.

Ange unlatched from my nipple and whimpered and pushing into my fur. I licked his little nose and mouth clean and picked him back up and stood back up. I start to hobble even slower than before but I wasn't going to stop.
"You can admit you're tired." I growled and said nothing else.
The blond shook his head and motioned for the wolves to take one of my pups and continue on.

I didnt want to look weak, I didn't want to give them something to use against me. So I said nothing, and continued hobbling without a word. I felt the blond sigh but he said nothing. It only took about 40 minutes before the overwhelming scent of wolves made my hair stand on end, my paws shook as we entered what the blond called falcon territory. I felt eyes on us immediately and it made me more tense. The dread settling in my stomach made me nauseous, and I lost strength in my legs. I dont remember hitting the ground.

....

The smell hit my nose first. It was the smell of something clean, but it was chemically at the same time. It smelt almost unnatural to me, it reminded me of something but I couldnt quite remember what. I lifted my heavy eyelids and I saw a cream ceiling. Ceiling. I was inside a house. I moved my sluggish body and sat up as best as I could, I was in a bed. I never slept in a bed. I looked around, it looked like I was in a nurse's office you see in cliche romance movies. I couldnt remember getting here, how did I ?

"Ah, your up, that's great ," I glanced over, it was a man.
I knew I would usually be terrified, snarling at this stranger, but it felt like I couldnt muster up the energy. I just felt sluggish and heavy.
"I see your still woozy, that's normal. Your leg had been badly broken, it had started to mend wrong so we had to re-break it. We put you on some pain medication so it wouldnt be as stressful." I looked down at my leg, it was bandaged heavily and I had an I.V in my other hind leg.
I was still a wolf, they hadn't forced me to change back, I looked around the room again. My babies.
"Pups." The man paused, looking at me.
"Where, where are my pups. I need my pups." His eyes widened as I tried to slip off the bed.
"Dont. You'll make you leg worse. Your pups are fine hon, we have a playroom for the pack pups. We put them in their so they wouldnt be as scared. It didnt do much though, apparently they've been huddled together in a corner crying for you." I whined trying to get up again. My babies.
"Let me get my pups, let me have my babies." I tangled myself in the bed sheet and tumbled awkwardly to the floor, my front legs twisting to break my fall.
"Hey hey hey !! Stay still, I'll go get your pups ok ? Just stay lay down ok ?" My body fell limply on the floor as the man rushed out of the door.
I closed my eyes and felt my twins wiggle and kick in my tummy, they were still ok. I purred quietly, my mind sleepy and unfocused. It felt nice to be honest, my mind wasn't working in overdrive for once. I felt like I could breathe, even for just a little while.
