Who will win today?
It's a question I ask myself when I wake up.
Excuses in a line,
Pain stacked up high,
Exaggerating to get attention.
Lying to win affection.
It's tiring,
I'm tiring,
Stamina low,
Battery low,
Falling low.
I won't give up,
It's not what we do,
I refuse to lose.
She decides how things are,
I go first.
Preparing my positives,
Nagging at my negatives.
Always the extreme,
Always the extreme.
My metal health doesn't matter when her fake one is on the line.
Complaining,
Complaining.
Always ill,
Never fine.
So I lie too,
Pretend to be ill,
Pretend to be broken,
Telling such in depth stories I start believing them too.
Because now I am ill.
Now I am broken.
This competition has broken my legs,
Yet still I run to try to stay in first.
