"So how long are you going to avoid Luke?" Ashton nudged me as we walked down the hall. He was the only person I had told about what happened that night. If I would have told Michael, who knows what would have happened. If I had told Calum, well, he probably would have told Michael. That was a lose/lose situation.
It was Wednesday, period 7 I had just walked out of. Ashton has been waiting for me after every class to help me get away faster. He's been doing this since Monday, but I just told him today the reason why.
"I'm not avoiding him, just, well yeah I'm avoiding him. I guess I don't want to be humiliated. I know he doesn't like me back, we just got caught up in the moment." I found my way to my locker and put in my combination : 37, 7, 31.
Ashton leaned up against the locker next to me and sighed. "Well, I'm going to find out what the hell he thinks about all of this because I don't want to see you hurt." I looked at him and pulled him in for a hug. "Thank you so much, Ash. You're the best." I whispered and then pulled away.
"I actually like this whole avoiding him thing right now. It helps me so I won't accidentally blab about the party." I grabbed my science text book and slammed my locker shut.
"It's obviously not a good thing to be doing it, but I need some space."
He nodded and put his arm around me. This isn't weird for either of us since we're close, but I hope people don't get the wrong idea. That wouldn't be good, at all.
"Well, I'm going to help you. I just don't want you to get hurt. If you do,
I'll crush him like a bug." He smiled. "Just saying."
I moved away and smacked his arm. I made quotes with my fingers,"just saying." We ended up starting a play fight, getting strange looks from around the hall. "If anything would go wrong, it would probably be my fault anyway."
"Aw, don't say that now. Guys are usually the ones to mess up." I shrugged. "You never know with me, Ash. I'm just a fucking mess."
"Well just calm down and we can sit in the back next period. It's last class and we have it together so I can "protect" you. It still amazes me how I got in honors science." He shook his head and dragged me down the rest of the hall into the classroom.
"Blah blah blah science stuff" was all I heard come out of my teachers mouth. I had already learned what she was teaching and didn't feel like learning it again.
Ashton and I took the seats all the way to the left in the back of the room. I was closer to the wall so that Ashton's tall figure could hide me if I fell asleep.
My cheek was resting in the palm of my hand as I stared into space. It was almost as if I was daydreaming, but not at the same time.
Ashton had then knocked my arm from underneath me, causing face to go flying into the desk with a loud smack.
"Ow!" I yelled to myself while holding my now, most likely, bruised nose. "Ashton!?" I looked over at him with a wide grin on his face as he tried to hold in his laughter. "Why?"
He pointed around to everyone getting up from there seats. Wow, I zoned out that whole class. That's impressive, especially for me.
Luke was just leaving and Ashton spotted him. He quickly grabbed his things and rushed out as well hoping to catch Luke before he left. Now it was just me and the empty room. Even the teacher was gone. Well that's just fan-fucking-tastic.
I picked up my books, shoving them into my bag. Heading out of the room, I noticed that there was no one there. Empty halls with no one but me. What is this, get away from Mackenzie day? "All by myself!" I scream/sung. My voice had echoed from them emptiness. I shrugged and walked over to my locker, putting my books in and getting my keys, before leaving.
I can't wait for this dreadful school year to be finally over. I unlocked my car and got in, heading home. I don't even have anything to do today, so it's not like I'm in a rush.
I soon arrived at my house, parked in the garage and walked in through the side door. "Home sweet home" I thought.
I dropped my stuff on the table and walked myself up the steps and to my room. Shower now or in the morning, was the question pondering through my head. Morning, definitely. Now's my time to relax.
I got up and changed into an oversized shirt, fuzzy socks and some booty shorts.
I figured I'd take a nap to calm some of the stress in my life from school and boys, etc. You get the idea.
I jumped into my bed and turned off my lights before shutting my eyes. I don't know when, but I eventually fell asleep hoping to be waking up 30 years from now when I'm actually sane.

I had woken up thinking that just a couple hours had passed. Couldn't be passed 9:00 pm, right? Well, I was wrong.
I went and pulled back my curtains to reveal the bright sun. My mouth had dropped open before I ran over to my dresser to check my phone. It read 10:26 am, so there was no point in going into school anyway.
I groaned, mad at myself for not being smart enough to set an alarm.
I don't even care anymore. I grabbed my clothes and ran into the bathroom to take a shower. I thought about all the things I could do today, but they all sounded too boring to do alone.
I washed up and got out, drying myself off. I threw on my maroon V-neck with some plain black leggings. We thank times like this that they invented black underwear.
I opened my door to let some steam out and then started with my hair. I combed through it and then actually blow dried it for once in almost 4 months. Let's just say when I was done, I know why I haven't been blow drying it. My hair is now a big frizz ball.
I sighed to myself and tried everything I could do get it less frizzy. I would have straightened it, but I didn't want to put even more heat on it.
I trudged over to my stack of hats, now mad at myself for not letting my hair air dry. Hat after hat after hat, I finally pulled out my black fedora and placed it on my head. If you don't think fedoras are cool, than screw you because they're amazing.
I grabbed my phone, flopping down on my bed to try and find something to do. As I was scrolling through my contacts, my eyes stopped on a name and remembered something I wanted to tell them.
I clicked on the call button and listened to the few rings before they picked up. "Hello?" Her voice rang through my phone. "Yeah, hello, Liz. It's Mackenzie, if you didn't know"
"Oh, sweetie, hi!" This woman was so sweet. I'm quite jealous that she's not my mother. "What are you calling for?"
"Well I have some ideas for the party."
