you're probably going to kill me for not updating. sorry, so sorry.
All of us had crashed at Luke's house that night. We didn't feel the need to leave since we're done with school, so we just stayed up all night and talked.
The lads had obviously figured out that Luke and I were dating. It was no secret when we came into the kitchen holding hands.
I was the only one up at the moment and the rest of them were all spread around the living room passed out cold. The tv was turned on with the volume setting down almost all the way. I know that they're heavy sleepers, but you could never be too cautious.
I was watching The Big Bang Theory and trying to contain my laughter. At one point I just couldn't hold it in and let out a couple of loud giggles.
My stomach started to growl, so I decided to make some breakfasts for myself and the boys. Liz and Andrew left early this morning to go to work, so I guess I'm going to have to deal with these monsters.
I found some pancake mix and began to cook them over the stove, with headphones in my ears blasting The 1975.
I had made about 5 pancakes when I felt arms snake around my waist. I must have jumped at least a foot into the air from being so freaked out.
I yanked the headphones out of my ears whisper-yelling, "Oh my god! You scared the crap out of me!"
Luke giggled rubbing his eyes like a little kid. It was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. "Sorry I didn't mean to." He said with his raspy morning voice which made it sound twice as deep. Talk about sexy, and I thought Niall Horan was hot.
"It's alright." I walked over and gave him a hug. As I went to pull away, his gripped tightened and pulled me closer. "Luke."
"Don't let go." He said snuggling his head into my neck. I wish I could stay like this forever. "Do you want burnt pancakes?"
"No!" Someone yelled from the doorway and ran over to pull Luke off me. Michael pushed me closer to the stove and handed me the spatula. "Cook!"
"God damn, Michael. She's a girl not a slave." Luke smacked him upside the head and wrapped his arms around me from the back.
"Yeah Mikey!"
"Whatever. You're burning our food." He mumbled before walking slowly back into the living room. I panicked and rushed over to the stove, flipping the pancakes and putting them on a plate.
"Oops" I giggled setting the huge stack of pancakes on the island and turning off the stove. Luke looked at me and laughed.
"You're too much." He smiled.
"Yeah, I know."
Michael had woken up the other lads and in walked a groggy Ashton and Calum. When the aroma of freshly made pancakes hit their noses, they immediately brightened up. "Mackenzie, you know I love you right?" Calum stated and took a seat, placing at least 6 pancakes on his plate. "Yeah I know, Fatty."
We all sat down and ate our breakfast before getting dressed. I had nothing to do today, so I figured that I would just stay over here. Maybe if the boys had something planned I could tag along, but most of the time they go home and sleep. I would love to do that, but in my own bed.
I had gotten dressed in Luke's room and had just finished pulling my hair up into a messy ponytail when there was a knock at the door, "Come in!"
Luke trotted in, stuffed penguin in hand, and plopped down on his bed. "You're so adorable." I giggled. I put my dirty clothes in my drawstring bag and threw it on his desk chair so I wouldn't forget it.
"Cuddle?" Luke asked in a cute baby voice. I nodded and walked over to sit on the bed. He had pulled me closer to the pillow so we were now lying down.
"The lads went home by the way." Luke mumbled snuggling his head into the crook of my neck. "Oh." Was all I said. My mind was all over the place right now. This felt so right and I couldn't picture Luke being anyone else.
I turned over and rested my head on Luke's chest. We just laid there for a while, not talking or making any sound besides our breathing. His heartbeat speed up a little and I smiled to myself knowing it was because of me.
My eyelids started to droop and I was only focused on the steady beat of his heart. When Luke started to run his fingers through my hair, it felt so good and I became even more tired.
At some point I must have fallen asleep, because I could no longer hear or feel Luke next to me.
-
Light snores were heard as I had woken up from my nap. Luke's arm was draped around me as he slept and snored away.
I gently crawled out of his grasp and went into the bathroom. After doing my business, I made sure to check myself in the mirror so that I didn't look like a monster once again.
I went back into his room and went through the overnight bag I packed in search of my makeup. When I found it, I walked back into the bathroom and over to the mirror.
I only really put on mascara and eyeliner because I'm not that big on makeup. Sometimes I use concealer, but only if I ever need it.
I picked out my brown eyeliner and put it on my top lash line to compliment my eyes. I never really use black because, well, I don't actually know why.
After successfully applying my top line of eyeliner, I went on to mascara.
I applied it to my lashes and put it back in the small makeup bag. I checked out how I did in the mirror before a voice spoke, "You really don't need that stuff. You're beautiful just the way you are."
There stood Luke, leaned against the door frame. He had messy hair and a raspy voice which made me die inside.
"Well just be happy that I don't put on 5x more than needed." I smirked. He walked over and pulled me in for a hug. "You're amazing." He mumbled into my neck.
"Not as amazing as you."
"Lies." He laughed.
"Oh so you're calling me a liar?" I pushed him away in a sarcastic way. "Well I ain't calling you a truther." He shot back.
"What, are we Drake and Josh now?" I asked in a pit of laughter. "Yes, yes we are."
"Well how is that going to work if we're dating? I can't just magically be your step brother. That would be so wrong." The thought made me cringe and he laughed at me.
"That's true." I'm guessing Luke had the same thought from the face he made. "Oh so I guess I'm not a liar now?"
"Shut up." He mumbled and walked back into the bedroom. I grabbed my makeup bag and turned off the light before following Luke.
I set down my bag and walked over to the bed, where Luke was sprawled out. I jumped on top of him and he let out an "umf" sound. "Sorry." I kissed him and rolled off onto the other side of the bed.
"No, come back." He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me back on top of his stomach. He started to leave light kisses on my neck before nuzzling his head into the crook. "Luke, we can't just lay here all day and sleep." I stated.
"Sure we can." He snuggled into me and closed his eyes. I didn't even know I was still tired until we both became quiet while wrapped in each other's arms. Doing my makeup was pointless because I fell back asleep once again.
