Today these was no guilt, no exasperation. Just anger.
"You almost killed him."
"And I would have, if it weren't for you!" Takizawa shouted back. His voice had the usual giddiness to it but if you listened a little more carefully- and how many times hadn't Houji rewinded these tapes?- you would notice a new kind of edge to it now.
"The CCG is far too kind." He mocked "just because you have me in handcuffs you think I can't use my teeth?"
"You have yet to attack me." Houji remarked calmly. He wasn't rewarded a response.
"Then again maybe you don't care. He did remind me an awful lot of someone else. Naive, idealistic, uptight human. He's even brunette. Ain't that cute?"
"I'd advise you to think a little to avoid making mindless accusations."
"Angry are we? Hehe... too bad it's so hard to care about a second rate replacement. I'm flattered though, who knew you cared about me so much? I certainly didn't. That might have more to do with all the years I spent wishing for you to save me before I realised no one was coming."
Takizawa's laughter echoed trough the cell.
