After explaining your brilliant plan to the ghost of your former Sensei you waited eagerly for her response, though the look of confusion and uncertainty was quite clear despite her now transparent appearance.

"Well?!" Your current eagerness quickly changed to annoyed as you impatiently tapped your foot waiting for an answer; a trait commonly shared with your boyfriend.

Sensei looked at you sternly while trying to comprehend what you'd just explained to her. "If I understand correctly," she started, "You want my spiritual form to fuse with your body so that you may temporarily use my power?"

"Pretty much." You nodded, feeling confident in your plan.

"Alright (Y/n), I trust that you know what you're doing." Sensei smiled as she rested her ghostly hand on your shoulder. "Let's hope this plan of yours actually works." She said mockingly.

Before you even had a chance to shoot back a snide remark you were engulfed by a blinding light which forced your eyes shut, followed by a painful burning sensation in your body. After that everything went hazy. "Ugh....what the heck was that?" You asked as you slowly opened your eyes, only to find your ghostly mentor gone. "Sensei?! Where are you?"

"I'm here (Y/n)."

"Where's here?!" You spun around with your eyes frantically looking in every direction searching for Sensei.

"In your mind."

It was then you realized what happened. Your plan worked! It actually worked...Well, I mean of course it did. With a mischievous smirk you cracked your knuckles, readying yourself for fight.

"You ready for this Sensei?"

"Only when you are (Y/n)."

With that you ran off as fast as possible towards Eggman's lair, leaving a blueish speed trail behind you as you dashed at super speeds.

Meanwhile in Eggman's lair, everyone including Sonic was captured and caged while dangling from the ceiling over a pit of corroding acid. As the team (and your dad) were waiting for you to come rescue them Sonic started to feel very nervous and self conscious.

Why you ask? Well, it certainly has nothing to do with him facing certain doom a few feet below. No, he was used to dangerous situations like this, in fact these "Eggman incidents" typically happen 5 times a week. So what gives? What could possibly make the coolest hedgehog in the world feel so nervous?

Sonic gulped as he quickly stole glances to his right. Standing there was the father of (Y/n) and (S/n). While everyone was strategizing an escape plan Sonic was twiddling his thumbs, silently thinking of a way to break the ice with his girlfriends dad. He knew that (Y/n) didn't tell him that they were officially dating, apparently he was the kind of dad who wouldn't approve of the whole inter-species thing. Plus they were captured by none other than Eggman himself! Talk about a bad first impression.

Sonic's silence did not go unnoticed by a certain pink hedgehog. "Sonic!" Amy nudged him, snapping him back to reality. "Do you think you can stop daydreaming and start helping us find a way out of here before we all fall to our doom?"

Sonic felt a warm blush coming from under his fur as all eyes were now on him. The blue hedgehog usually enjoys being the centre of attention, but now all he wanted to do was put a bag over his head from embarrassment. Before Sonic could muster up a reply the room door bursted opened!

"When is that teenage mutant going to show up?" Eggman bellowed as he stomped towards the cage, visibly angry, "It feels like I've been waiting here for 7 months!" He stomped again while crossing his arms. "Just what is that girl doing? Shopping? Braiding her hair? Flirting with other boys?" Eggman gave Sonic a smug smile at that last question which earned him a few glares and grunts.

"Oh how typical!" Amy growled, "Claiming that all girls do is shop and care only of our appearances! I'll have you know-"

CRASH!

The sound of glass breaking stopped Amy in mid-sentence as everyone turned to the source of the noise. There you were, standing before everyone with a powerful blueish/(fav colour) aura. "Hey guys, Miss me?" You smirked confidently as you dusted off some debris from your shoulder.

"(Y/n)!" The gang, including your dad shouted happily in unison. "Don't worry guys," you assured everyone before turning towards Eggman. "This won't take long."

"How dare you!" Eggman fumed. "Do you have any idea how much it cost to replace that window?!"

"Don't know and don't care."

Eggman growled at your nonchalant attitude. "That's it!" He shouted angrily as he pressed a button on his remote, seconds later the room was swarmed with dozens of robots ready to attack on Eggman's command. You got into a fighting stance and readied yourself.

"Get her!" He ordered his robotic army, prompting them to charge you in various directions. This of course didn't faze you in the slightest, with Sensei by your side (or rather in your head) you took out every robot with ease and style. Walking over the pile of destroyed robots you let out a fake yawn and turned to Eggman with bored expression.

"Is that it?"

Enraged, Eggman threw his remote control onto the floor before stomping on it mercilessly. You had to admit it's kinda funny seeing a 40-something-year-old man act like a child throwing a tantrum over his broken toys.

Eggman sighed in defeat as he headed towards the door leading to another room. "Where do you think you're going?" You asked, slightly annoyed that battle ended quickly...as it usually does.

Eggman stopped in tracks as he turned to face you with a look of frustration. "First, I'm going to take a nice long shower while I curse you and your dopey friends to an early grave," He growled. "Then, I'm going to watch my favourite show; the real housewives of Gogoba village before devising another diabolical plan to get rid of you and your friends forever!" He let out he signature laugh before awkwardly coughing, he turned around and proceeded through without looking at you. "So please take your friends and family and amscray!"

You were dumbfounded, was this really a routine for both Sonic and Eggman? You wondered if they were even enemies, could they secretly be best friends? You shrugged it off, that's another story for another chapter.

As you got everyone down to safety you were met with hugs. "You got your powers back?" Sonic asked.

"It's a long story."
