"Jace where are we going?" Clary asked, stumbling through the undergrowth. As soon as Clary had rejoined him he'd told her that he wanted to show her something. She couldn't understand why it couldn't wait.
"We- We need to get you to safety," Jace said, dragging her along.
"Why?" Jace stayed silent. "Jace, why? What's happened? Is it... Is it Sebastian? Jace... Please. Tell me."
"Yes. For a while now Magnus and I have been working on a safe house for you. Incase he comes for you."
"Has he?"
"Yes," Jace replied, drawing a portal on a nearby tree. They stepped through, leaving Alicante and their loved ones behind.
