A Second Chance

(A/N if i told you that i planned on ending the story soon how would you react?)

Kali: You can't be serious

Raven: I just... i never wanted to leave in the first place

Me: Qrow told me that you just left without any explaination

She looked to me hurt before glancing down at her feet.

Raven: I can tell you what really happened but can i come in first?

Allowing Raven in she looked around, i sat in a chair as Kali joined me. Raven sat across from us before taking off her mask.

She looked like she had only aged slightly since the last time i saw her.

Raven: When i left it was because my tribe needed a leader, Qrow wouldn't do it and knowing that it would fall apart without one i went.

Kali: Wait Qrow knew?

Raven: He was the one who wouldn't go...

She turned to me with pleading eyes

Raven: Please understand Y/N that i never would have left if it wasn't for Qrow not leaving

Me: It's his fault that it happened? So he knew about it all this time and didn't tell us because he didn't want to be the bad guy?

Raven nodded and looked down. How could he do that to his own sister? I may not remember what happened but Raven she...

We had a daughter together and she was forced to leave her behind. I can't imagine what that's like

Me: When you found me you told me that you were lonely without me... was that true?

Raven: It still is... i just wanted to spend some time with you as husband and wife again then i was going to tell you the truth... i'm sorry

How much did being away hurt her? Looking to Kali she looked torn between something, she got up before going over to Raven and hugging her.

Raven was shocked by this but evemtually hugged back, Kali ushered me over so i came over and wrapped my arms over the two of them.

Me: I'm sorry that you had to do leave Raven

Kali: If it's worth anything Yang's growing up to be a strong woman...

Raven nodded but stayed silent, Kali slipped away so Raven latched onto me. Kali gave me a go ahead so i hugged her tightly.

Raven began to shake for some reason until i realised that she was crying. I gently stroked her hair until i tugged on the head dress she was wearing.

Why does it seem so familiar? It's almost as if i know about it personally...

Flashbacks start

Young Raven: Hey Y/N, why do you hang out with me?

Young Y/N: What do you mean?

Young Raven: I'm not girly so i always thought you hung around me because you thought i was a boy

I began laughing as she glared at me

Young Raven: Hey what's so funny?!

Young Y/N: Raven, i don't hang around you because i think you're a boy, i do it because you my friend... when i first saw you i thought you were cute

A blush rose up onto her cheeks and i had one on mine, i stared off into the forest we were playing in before i reached into my bag.

Young Y/N: I have a present for you

Young Raven: But why?

Young Y/N: Cause it's your birthday

I pulled out a small red box with with a white bow around it and handed it to her

Young Y/N: So happy birthday Raven!

She took it from me and unraveled the bow, taking the top off i saw a red head dress with white embroidery sown into it.

Young Raven: Y/N...

Young Y/N: Sorry if it's bad, i had my mom teach me to sow so i could do it-

She cut me off by pulling me into hug

Young Raven: I love it

Young Y/N: Really? Cause it's not that good

I patted her back awkwardly not knowing what to do making her giggle

Young: It is... can you put in on?

Young Y/N: Sure

I turned around and handed the head dress back to him, he took from me and held my hair gently as he placed it into it

Young Y/N: You look perfect! I-I mean, it's p-perfect, your hair a-and how it looks and i should probably stop talking

Young Raven: You probably should

Flashback

Me: Raven... what was that?

Raven: I don't know... i just couldn't help it anymore

She leaned forward and rested her forehead on mine, she had a small smile tracing her lips and i had one as well

Raven: I don't just want to be your friend, so please... give us a try

I chuckled before we leaned in and kissed again, it wasn't as passionate but it still had some feelings behind them.

Flashback

Me: I love you

Raven: I love you too

Flashbacks end

I remember... i remember everything. A smile appeared on my face as i leaned back and let go of Raven making her look to me confused

Kali: What's wrong?

Me: I remember

Raven: Remember what?

Me: What i forgot... i've got my memories back!

I got up and hugged Kali as she did the same, seeing that Raven looked left out i unwrapped an arm from Kali and gestured to Raven to join us.

A smile appeared on her face as she walked over, we shared a hug for abit before i felt her kiss my cheek.

She pulled away as i looked to her confused, Raven pulled out her sword and slashed at the air creating a portal.

Me: Raven what are you doing?

Raven: I really do love you Y/N but you're married to Kali now and i won't take that away from you so i'll settle this

Kali: But what about Yang? What if she wants to meet her mother?

Raven: You're her mother Kali...

She offered us a smile before walking through her portal. It disappeared as i looked to Kali who had a hand over her chest.

It was a sweet and tender moment although by the realisation that Qrow had ruined Ravens life.

I'm going to have a few words with him soon...
