APPLE FESTIVAL: DAY ONE.
PART TWO.

LEVI RICHARDS LIKED EVERY SINGLE ONE OF ETHAN ROBINSON'S FRIENDS BUT BEAU. It was impossibly tasking to hold anything but upmost admiration for the striking charismatic golden boy and his squad of equally personable, passionate youth that constantly surround him. Each of them a luscious little inferno set to embellish the world in a genius fervor of a flame. Stars. Young gods in their own right.

So it wasn't at all shocking to know that Levi, rival only to Casanova, Allure akin to that only of a fallen angel , presence alike only that of a sun would applaud such arrogant radiance. Such intense naive brightness. After all like calls to like.

But for some reason, some senseless assumingely petty reason Levi didn't like Beau. The truth spilled from his usually warm eyes in the appearance of ice. He glared coldly at the beautiful Beau as if his presence had been only the greatest offense. Beau showed that he felt the same.

"Levi?" Gola gasped, pushing the door open to stick her head out. Surly her eyes didn't deceive her did they?

Levi's eyes flickered to Gola's small figure. In a mere moment in time, far too fleeting to be considered the blink of an eye, a shadow crossed his already vexed face making him appear twice more detested. Then it was gone. Replaced by dear fondness one could only have for a five year friendship. Perfectly.

Despite how rapidly the truth had gone just as it had come Beau saw through Levi's angelic veil. All cruel calculation baring unnecessarily sharp teeth underneath.

Everything was wrong.

Beau wrapped his fingers tightly around her wrist. He was silent. His eyes however screamed. Don't do this they silently pleaded.

He had no right to be concerned for her. After all he'd just met her earlier that night all while her and the red haired boy obviously had a history. Nevertheless he held to her. "I don't like this."

Scowling, She snatched her wrist away like his touch hurt.

"Just on my way to the festival." Levi calmly clarified leaning coolly against the car. It was if he hadn't almost been hit by the speeding car. As if he hadn't almost lost his life.

"Us too, welcome to tag along." Ethan bid turning off his phone after ignoring a call from his father.

Yona suddenly sat at attention looking a lot less than Pleased. She still hadn't forgotten nor forgiven Levi for giving his outbursts the other night. What was he thinking scarring Gola like that?

Ethan attempted to suppress the light chuckle that ruptured from his chest. Yona was far worse than any child when it came to pouting.

Levi glanced at Yona with an unreadable expression. "I think I'll take that offer."

Yona grumbled to herself as she climbed over Ethan. Sitting as far away from the red haired boy as possible. Strangulation after all was a crime which could earn her prison time. She couldn't go to prison she had a crown to take.

Ethan didn't even attempt to suppress his low laughter this time.

From the rear view mirror a set of oceanic chocolate eyes glared at Richards. This made his lips quirk up at the ends. He liked games. Loved a good cat and mouse chase.

Beau's harsh gaze remained unrelenting as he lit a cigarette. "None of us are going anywhere. Until figure out what's wrong with 'black beauty."

"'Black beauty?"' Yona mused, making eye contact with Gola.

"That's my baby's name." Beau proudly proclaimed while he exhaled toxic fumes.
_______

Apparently there was nothing wrong with the 'black beauty's' engine. After messing about inside the hood of the car for twenty minutes the boys couldn't find a fault.

Utterly muddled, Beau decided to call a tow truck and a cab.

"It wasn't your fault. I shouldn't have taken it out on you." Levi suddenly stated peering out into the darkness. "Sorry."

The words hung in the cool air. Clinging to the echoing silence.

Yona and Ethan went back to impishly wrestling.

Beau toyed uncomfortably with numerous objects in the front seat. His phone disregarded on the floor. While he didn't wish for anyone to believe he would care as to listen in on their conversation he certainly wasn't going to validate himself by mindlessly tapping away at his cell phone. He detested cell phones and was most certainly was listening in on their conversation.

"It's ok." Gola responded in barely a whisper. It really wasn't ok. They'd been friends for five years in that moment it had felt as she'd known him less than five minutes. He'd been distant and colder than she's ever known. Just the memory of his bitter tone left Gola shivering. She couldn't help but wonder what had been the cause of such a violent stark personality change? Why didn't he come to her for comfort as usual? "It's in the past now."

Beau couldn't help but let loose a dissatisfied grunt. So quick to forgive.

The roared to life with a melodious purr.

Beau had been playing with the keys. With all the trouble he'd gone through to get the car to start he'd never thought to just turn the keys in the ignition. Another strange noise erupted from the back of his throat, this one a pleased groan. "Baby, I thought I'd lost you! had me worried sick!" He almost sang, rubbing his seat affectionately with his head on the wheel.

The car erupted in laughter. Most of it from Ethan who would bottle the moment up teasing material later.

With Beau ecstatic to have not lost his car, Gola untroubled with Levi, Yona pleased to have Ethan and Ethan habitually merry no realized noir reasoned that the car had simply come to a breakneck pause seemingly by itself at just the right moment.

No one would notice until it's far too late.
