9~Meeting The Parents

"You want me to meet your parents?" Stiles asked turning to look at his boyfriend who just sprung the fact that his family is having a barbecue and want them to join

"Yeah why not, I mean I've met your dad" Derek stated

"That's just because he gave you a speeding ticket" he said turning back to feed his daughter; Brooklyn

"How I met him isn't the point here, it's that I have met him, I have had the terrifying cop-dad talk; which you are not going to tell him that I've told you it was terrifying. And now it's your turn to meet my family" Derek said coming up behind Stiles sliding his palms over his shoulders and down his chest "Don't you love me?" Derek asked as he whispered in Stiles' ear

"That depends if you keep on doing this in front of my daughter" Stiles said leaning his head back to look at Derek who casually backed off and pulled up a chair beside them both, he sat on it so the back was in front of him so he could rest his arms and place his chin on them and pulled his puppy dog face "That doesn't work with me, and you know it" Stiles pointed out "Nice try though" he said as he ruffled up Derek's hair and went to the sink to clean up the bowl

"How about we do this together what do you say?" Derek whispered to Brooklyn causing her to giggle "I'll take that as a yes" he said to himself as he picked her up out of her high chair and went to the kitchen with her on his hip "So could you say no to this adorable baby girl, and deprive her of getting to know the family of her Pap-" Derek cut himself off before going any further "I mean...I-" Stiles turned around at that with a huge grin on his face

"Her what? I didn't get that last part, mind repeating?" Stiles smiled

"Look I didn't mean anything by it okay, I just...." Derek closed his eyes for a second to think "All I wanted was for my family to meet the two people who I love more than anything"

"You know you can't say stuff like that without me ending up getting real emotional about it" Stiles said managing to put on a small smile at the side of his lips

"Can't hide the truth" Derek said as he took hold of Stiles hand

"Do they know all about me though?" Stiles asked but didn't give Derek a chance to reply "About the fact that I got a girl pregnant when I was 18 and when Brooklyn arrived she wanted nothing to do with her, and that you got into a relationship with a guy who had a 2 month old daughter at the time and-" Stiles was cut off from going any further as Derek's lips connected with his making him forget all about his worries and the conversation that occurred, after a few seconds Derek pulled back and had the sweetest smile ever

"All I told them was that I was in a relationship with a guy and that he has a huge responsibility in his life, sure I din't tell them that it was this little lady here" Derek said tickling Brooklyn's tummy making her fall into a giggling fit trying to get him to stop "But that doesn't mean that you shouldn't not not meet them" Derek said confusing Stiles "Forget about that, look you two have become a part of my life so my family are just going to have to deal with that, which they will"

"Are you sure they want me there?" Stiles asked

"Yes, I'm sure"

"Okay fine, sure we'll go" Stiles said

"Good cause I already told my mum we're coming and she expects us to be there in approximately.....1 hour" Derek said looking at his wrist that had no watch on there, and before Stiles could complain he walked off to Brooklyn's room with the excuse of having to get her ready

30 minutes later

"Are you done there yet?" Stiles asked leaning against the door frame as he watched Derek change Brooklyn's nappy
