Eyes Closed (Chaelisa)

Chapter 4

Lisa POV

It's been 30 minutes since I went inside the unnie's room. We watched a bunch of baby videos on youtube, baby Sarang is so cute you really can't help but smile when watching her.

"Lisa you seem distracted. If you're so worried about Rose you should go talk to her." Jisoo unnie suddenly said while we were still watching baby Sarang.

"Unnie, that's the problem. I think she's hiding something from me. There's something she's not telling me I can feel it. It's like she specifically avoids the topic when I start asking if she's okay." I sighed in defeat. I hugged Jisoo-unnie seeking comfort  whole pouting.

"She'll probably tell you when she's ready. For now we just have to be there for her. Whatever she's going through we'll make sure we'll support her. Maybe you can cheer her up first when you go back, go do that signature aegyo of yours." Jennie suggested.

I smiled at the though of Rose smiling and laughing at me. I immediately sat upright and said "Eh-hee" doing my signature pose with both of my open hands beside my face.
The unnies laugh at my sudden action.

"Omo stop doing that! Rose might slap you in annoyance instead." Jennie cheekily said while smiling.

Unhappy at what Jennie-unnie said, I pouted and crossed my hands.

"Chaeng-ah won't do that. I'm like her favorite person." I playfully said. Sticking my tongue out at Jennie-unnie, I looked at Jisoo-unnie and added "Right Jisoo-unnie?"

"Aniyo, isn't it me? She always talks to me if she wants a good laugh and she approaches me to ask for advice." Jisoo-unnie said as a-matter-of-fact.

Feeling somewhat unhappy to what Jisoo-unnie said I felt my smile turn into a frown. I wanted to answer back in my defense to prove I'm Rose's favorite but I couldn't think of anything to say in return to that because Rosé really goes to Jisoo-unnie if she wants to laugh or if she has a problem. Was I not Rosé's closest friend? But we hang out the most and she's the most touchy with me. I was drowning in my own thoughts when Jennie-unnie suddenly said, "Hey unnie, you're making our maknae cry."

"I wasn't making her cry. I was just telling the truth Jendukie" Jisoo-unnie said while hugging Jennie.

Confused at what I heard I asked, "Huh what are you talking about? I'm not crying." I tasted something wet and salty as I asked. A teardrop? Wait did I just cry? Why was I crying? Did thinking about me not being Chaeng-ah's closest person make me cry? Realizing I'm starting to think for too long I defended myself, "A dust must have gotten into my eye. I wasn't crying!"

"Whatever you say our maknae." the unnies said in unison while laughing. Jennie-unnie started fiddling with her phone and was surprised when a flash hit my face. Shit she took a picture of me, this must have been one of the thousands of embarrassing photos I have since the day we met.

"Gaaaah! You took a photo of me." I shouted. Jennie-unnie immediately closed her phone and threw it at Jisoo-unnie's way. She smiled widely as if she won the lottery and teased, "I can't wait for Rose to see this tomorrow".

"Unnieeeeeeeee! No! Stop this right now. Delete that photo immediately." I angrily said while hitting the bed like a child.

Oh my god, I am internally screaming right now. I can't let the unnies show that picture to Rosie. If she found out she'd ask me why I was crying and I can't tell her it's because I was jealous at the thought that I wasn't her bestfriend. I see Jisoo-unnie at the corner of my eye and had a bright idea. Only Jisoo-unnie can help me convince Jennie-unnie to stop this madness of hers.

I went beside Jisoo-unnie and hugged her, I looked into her eyes with a sad face with puppy eyes and begged, "Jisoo-unnie, please help me. Don't let Chaeng-ah see that picture. Besides Chaeng-ah is going through something right now, if she sees that picture she'd end up worrying about me and put aside her own problems. You know how she is." Jisoo stayed silent for a while, I smiled as she seemed convinced at what I said.

"You're right. Jennie, stop joking around and don't show that picture to Rose but don't delete it either." she winked at Jennie who then laughed out loud in return.

"Fine, this might have some use in the future. You're lucky Jisoo-unnie sided with you now." Jennie-unnie stuck her tongue at me.

"Daebak, you're so mean to me unnie. I'm going back to my room." I stood up and dramatically start to leave.

I open the door, smile and say "Good night unnies, don't go back on your word that you won't show that to Rosie."

Walking back to to next room where me and Rosie were staying at, I sighed loudly in relief. Hopefully she's still awake.
