THE DEAL

Chapter 19.

Betty's POV

I sat on the couch drinking my coffee, and suddenly could hear a loud bang in Jughead's door.

I jumped from my place and ran towards Jughead's room, once I opened it I saw a very angry Jughead in front of me, as soon as he saw me his face expressions changed.

He quickly hugged me and said, "I am so sorry."

I was confused what is he talking about?

I slightly pushed him and placed both of my hands on his cheeks and made him look at me.

His eyes were filled with tears, what has happened?

I was about to ask but he turned his head and said, "can I please-" he was about to say something but then my phone started ringing.

I excused myself and went to my phone, I was confused at why is Archie was calling me.

I picked the phone up and the only thing I heard is, "Please meet me at the park. Now."

He then suddenly hang up and I was left there sitting on the couch confused.

I sent a few texts to Archie saying that I won't come until he tells me a reason.

But the only thing I got from him is a sad emoji, and said that he just needs to talk to me, but what made me curious, is why did he have to be so quick and demanding.

I walked to Jughead's room but when I got there, I saw a note on the door that said, "I'll be back in a few minutes."

I sighed and crumbled the piece of paper in my hand and threw it in the garbage.

I walked to my room and got something simple to wear, suddenly I got another text from Archie that said, "I am sorry I troubled you, you don't have to come."

I rolled my eyes at the text and threw my phone on the bed and sighed, relax Betty, I told myself about a hundred times.

A few minutes later after cooling down, I decided to text Veronica and see how is she.

I checked my phone and saw a message from Veronica, "Are you mad at me?"

A few seconds later the message was deleted, and then she sent me an apology saying that it was meant for someone else.

This is weird.

I asked her if she was okay and she sent me a thousand smiley faces saying that she was great.

This is strange, I think something is wrong with her.

I decided to text her again saying that we should meet up.

She quickly answered and said, "Sorry I can't, I have a family meeting in 2 hours."

I sighed and placed my phone on the bed.

Everyone is so busy these days, I curled up in a ball and stayed like that for a few seconds.

Wait.....

I haven't seen Cheryl for a while, I should text her.

I texted her saying that if she wanted to hang out and thank god she said okay.

It's been a while since I saw Cheryl.

I decided to wear a tight dress and do my hair and makeup, after an hour I was done.

I decided to text Cheryl and say that I'll be in the bar in a few minutes.

She still didn't reply.

I placed my phone into my purse and got out of the apartment.

I locked the door and left the building.
