I always was a little confused by something in purple rain, ok, the kid is a struggling artist right?, so much so that he had to still live with his parents. But he dress pretty awesome for someone struggling to make it plause he had a motorcycle. So the question is,did he make just enough money from his gigs at the club to get a few things but not to have his own place yet, or did he just know how to stretch the dollar and where to shop, I.e notice he admired that guitar that he couldn't afford.
