Munching the breakfast parathas Ipshita was looking and listening to Paromita and her friends and relatives that were sitting around them. Rimli was nowhere to be seen. So lazily yet with a trained smile on her face, she sat there with a bit of feeling of alienation.

This while, all of a sudden she felt someone patting on her shoulder. With a jolt, she turned her face with bored eyes just to get back the sparkle in then. Sitting very beside of her Akash was looking down at her with mischief in his eyes and plate full of parathas.
While stuffing his face, wiggling his eyebrows he asked her, "are you doing something important here?" Blankly Ipshita shook her head in negation. So he appealed his proposition further, "Then come with me. Choh! I have some errands to run, you will keep me company. "
"Where?"
"Across the seven seas?'
And just replying that with an enticing mischievous grin he got up from his seat to dump the empty breakfast plate and wash his hand.
Dumbfound, Ipshita sat there with a confused frown for some moment. Contemplating what she was just proposed to, she shoved the last bite of the paratha in her mouth. She was not an impulsive or spontaneous girl who will run at behind a boy who she knew just for a day, without knowing where she was going, for how long, who will be joining them, and then pondering upon if that will be safe enough. That was how she grew up. That was how she was brought up and what she was taught. She had had enough share of taunts in her college and school life for this. But she was a cautious person who liked to stick to her plan was to say the least.
But now something happened. Maybe there was something in the was Akash asked her - her conscious was suddenly aggravated. Restlessness ran down shiver through her body so much that her palms became cold as if it was snowing outside. Biting her lip, she looked around for Akash to see whether he was joking or was serious. She found him standing across the room talking with his father animatedly.
After Butu moved away, feeling a pair of eyes on him Akash looked up. With controlled impatience in her, Ipshita kept looking at him with questioning eyes. Dancing his eyebrows at her with a silence 'what happened?' he mouthed "I will be outside. Come!" leaning his head in a side and went out of the room.
Biting her tongue she sat there for a bit and then gingerly got up. Slowly, she went to the dump can and dumped her empty thermocol plate of breakfast. After washing her hands and face and dabbing it dry with a towel she very normally walked up to where her mother was sitting with others.
Tuli was giggling at some unheard jokes preparing a plate of grace for the upcoming rituals with the other ladies. Without giving away any of her inner restlessness Shuvro's daughter with a very blank face sat down beside her mother and uttered "Maa!" Getting a response from her mum she informed "I am going with Akash - da. It's fine. Right?"
"Akash? Where is he going?" Frowning Tuli looked up at her daughter curiously.
The answer came from Akash's mother herself, "Areey! He is going to the sweet shops which will be delivering the desserts. Let her go!" Poulee beamed assuring Tuli. Tuli looked up at her daughter after hearing the answer. Could she notice the sparkling of excitement in the eyes of Ipshita! Who could tell?
Pondering a bit she replied, "Fine! Go. But you are new here so be cautious." As if anyone needed to ask Ipshita Roychoudhury that! She was ever- cautious if anything. This kind of behaviour was something she was not.
Pressing an asserting smile she moved away from there.
Slowly, yet with a quickened heartbeat, she walked outside with haste of fidgety.

"You take too much time!"
"Your sweet shop across seven seas are very impatient then, I must say."
Leaning on the black Scorpio car of them Akash could not but laugh at Ipshita's reply.
"There are many more duties to be done across the seas. Hurry up, princess!" Saying Akash held open the door of the passenger seat. The address suddenly stopped the rushing heartbeat of Ipshita with a halt. Her eyes intently with great seriousness looked into Akash's eyes as if with the intention of reading what was going in his mind that was withheld from her.
She walked till the door but did not get inside. Instead said. "Don't call me princess."
"Why?"
Before getting inside the car sternly she replied. "Because, I don't like it, and because, I am saying so."
After Ipshita closed the door, Akash could not but kept looking at her through the tinted glass of the door, for a moment. The sudden firmness of her words and the granite stair of her kept him glued at his position...
