confessions •ch 6•

(Y/N) sat in her bed and watched Kieran walk past her tent

She narrowed her eyes "O'Driscoll.." she growled under her breath, feeling uneasy around him

She stood up and slipped out of the tent, quickly moving away from the gang's newest member

She glanced over to Boaz and saw Javier stowing his folded up fishing rod into his saddle bag

(Y/N) slipped over "where you going...?" She asked, watching him look up and smile

"I'm gonna go finishing... wanna come with?"

She nodded and skipped over to Smoke and mounted up

She moved up to Javier as he mounted Boaz "we'll be going a bit far from camp, the river is gonna eventually cut off into a lake so that's where we are heading, hopefully we can snag a boat to get to the middle of the lake" he said as they began to move out of camp

(Y/N) blinked "alright, good thing I have some bread with me or else I would probably starve"

Javier laughed "dont worry, if you didnt have food I would gladly let you have some"

(Y/N) blushed and ducked her head "that's sweet" she gushed while Javier turned his head away from her to hide his blushing face "well I wouldn't want you to starve now would I?"

Javier dismounted and (Y/N) did the same. She gave Smoke a pat before pulling out her folded up fishing rod and slipping it into her Satchel. Javier began to walk along the shore and (Y/N) quickly ran over to catch up with him

He glanced over to her and gave a smile and she smiled back happily.

Javier spotted a boat along the shore and the two moved up to it.

Javier stepped into it and held out a hand to (Y/N)

(Y/N) giggled and took his hand as Javier helped her step into the boat

Both of them sat down and Javier began to paddle them towards the middle of the lake

(Y/N) watched him paddle and she felt herself blushing. Javier, who was watching her, blushed back and raised his eyebrows "whatcha staring at?"

(Y/N) blinked, her face getting more red "n-nothing!" She yelped quickly while Javier laughed "right..."

Once they reached the middle of the lake Javier pulled out his rod and unfolded it while (Y/N) did the same.

Javier casted out his rod and (Y/N) nervously fiddled around with hers

Javier glanced over "you do know how to fish...right?"

(Y/N) quickly nodded, growing hot "of course I do!" She pulled her rod back, wanting to cast it out

She quickly threw it over her shoulder and watched her rod fly out and splash into the lake

Javier burst out laughing while (Y/N) ducked her head and put a hand over it to cover her tomato red face

She felt sweat drip nervously down her face until she felt a hand touch her back

She looked up to see Javier softly smiling "here... I'll teach you how to fish, you can use my rod"

(Y/N) gave a small nod and wiped some sweat off her face. She lifted her head up and felt Javier position himself behind her

She blushed at the touch of his chest to her back and she felt his arms slip around her sides.

His helped her pull the rod over her shoulder and cast it out properly.

She slowly began to reel in her rod, to make it look like prey. Suddenly she felt a tug and Javier began to guide her again, helping her tire out the fish and quickly begin to reel it in

The fish came out of the water and Javier removed himself from her back and stood beside her "and just like that you have a fish" he smiled and she stared in awe at her first fish

"I'll keep it" she opened her satchel and placed it inside.

She handed the rod to Javier "let's take turns fishing, I dont want you to miss out just because i threw out my rod"

Javier took the rod from her and cast it out "whatever you say"

...

The sun began to rise and (Y/N) set down the rod, giving a huff "I say we caught enough fish to feed the whole camp!" She exclaimed

Javier sat back and wiped some sweat off his forehead "it was nice to spend some time with you" he said while (Y/N) plopped herself beside him

He blushed and looked over to her while she blushed back "yeah, honestly I prefer spending time with you than the other members... something about you is... well... I dont know... I guess I just like you that's all" she suddenly froze up as she realised she accidentally confessed and she heard Javier stand up and move in front of her

Did I just ruin our friendship?!?!

He turned around and held out a hand. She nervously took it and felt herself be lifted up

Suddenly he tugged her forwards and their lips locked

They pulled apart and (Y/N) was blushing heavily

Javier watched her and gave a smile "I feel the same way"

(Y/N) blinked in shock "r-really?!" She gave a yelp and he put his hand on her cheek

"Yep, I guess I didnt have the balls to say shit"

The ride home seemed so amazing, (Y/N) felt like a new person, no longer her former self.

She felt like she could get over her past now, Javier would be her future, she knew it

Both of them rode into camp and were greeted by Lenny, who was in guard duty

"Well, you two have been out a while" his eyes traveled to the bags full of fish strapped to the back of both of their horses "woah! Now that's alot of fish! Pearson will surely be happy with that donation!"

Javier smiled "yep! Well, we're gonna go hitch our horses, be safe kid"

Lenny nodded and tipped his hat to (Y/N), who smiled to Lenny and flicked her reins, trotting after Javier over to the hitching posts

Both hitched up and removed their fishes, going over to Pearson and dropping them on his table

He smiled from cheek to cheek "great job both of you! We're gonna be eating for days!"

Javier tipped his hat to Pearson "no problem"

(Y/N) dipped her head to Pearson and the two hugged before heading off to their tents to get a well deserved rest

I'm starting my third playthrough and now imma go for the dishonorable ending, but honestly it kinda hurts seeing Arthur as a bad guy cause I imagine him as a good and helpful boi who says howdy to people instead of shooting their heads off with with a shotgun
