"It was awful..." (Y/N) finished retelling the story to the few gang members scattered around the campfire

Dutch had taken a handful of the gang over to the Braithwaite manor to retrieve Jack, the remaining members sulking around, the majority either worried sick over Jack's disappearance or over Sean's sudden and tragic death

"I fell awful for snapping at him the other day for lazin' around..." Ms. Grimshaw confessed as she stared sadly into the fire

"It's alright, you didn't know that he had only a few days left" Reverend consulted while he fiddled with a bottle of beer, a tight knot of grief in his stomach preventing him from getting drunk as per usual

"That's why I always treat everyone kindly, never know when they'll go" Mary-Beth admitted as she sat beside Kieran, trying to comfort him since he felt terribly guilty over witnessing Jack go missing

Karen gave a chuckle and raised her beer bottle up a bit "minus Micah"

(Y/N) gave a somber laugh with the others, grateful that she didn't have to be alone with grief looming over her

She was still in shock over the whole Sean taking a bullet for her, if only she could thank him for saving her life

She had always loved his humor and how he always made missions a bit more fun, cheering up the gang when something bad had happened

"It... it just seems so unreal... that he's really gone" Uncle murmured as he sat on the log, his hands resting on his knees as he had already finished his beer

"Agreed." (Y/N) added with a sad tone, the others murmuring in agreement

Ms. Grimshaw lifted her head as they all heard crying in the distance, coming from Abigail

"Oh dear.." she whimpered before  standing up "I should go try and calm her down, I can imagine loosin' a kid must be real hard on a mother" she walked off and Karen waved in dismissal

"I don't know how Ms. Grimshaw does it.." Karen sighed

"Does what?" Asked Mary-Beth as she glanced up at Karen

Karen took a sip of her beer and leaned back, stretching "You know, how one minute she can be screaming at us to work and next thing ya know she's comforting us like a mother"

Mary-Beth gave a cute small giggle and shook her head "oh Karen, it's cause she cares about us"

Reverend glanced over to (Y/N) and Sadie who sat beside her "I'm surprised she doesn't yell at you two as much as the other girls"

"Maybe it's cause we actually do our work" Sadie replied sarcastically

"Hey we work too you know!" Mary-Beth snapped playfully as Sadie rolled her eyes "No I mean how me and (Y/N) actually go out and get money, or do men's labor around here"

(Y/N) felt herself get distant and remembered the bang that filled the air as she was pushed away from danger, feeling Sean's dead body ontop of her with the bullet that would have been blasted onto her head if he hadn't stepped in

A small tear slipped down her cheek and she shood up, starting to walk away before feeling a hand grab her wrist

"You alright?" Asked Sadie, concern filling her hardened gaze
