(F/A/N) POV:
Scoobert and I had been walking all night, trying to find a place to stay for the night, since we're all on our own now. There's just one problem, Scoobert is afraid of the dark, especially of what might be lurking in the dark. And a howling coyote is not helping, especially the sound of thunder. And to make things worse, while wondering around, we had somehow ended up at a cemetery.
"Cemetery?" Scoobert asks, scared.
"Relax, Scoobert. We're not going in there," I say, trying to calm him down a little. "Let's keep moving,"
The moment I say that, my ears twitch (sorry if your favorite animal doesn't have ears, like a bird for example), as I feel the wind getting stronger all of a sudden.
"....(F/A/N)?"
"What?" I ask.
Scoobert grabs my head and turns it towards the graveyard. Two graves shuffle around, almost like something is trying to get out of them. Then lightning strikes, and a couple of ghosts, real ghosts, rise from the graves. Scoobert screams, running for his life, after grabbing me from the back of my collar, dragging me with him.
Legs don't fail me now!
"Run, Scoobert! Run!"
"I'm running, (F/A/N)!"
We run with all our might, not even bothering to look back and see if the ghosts were still chasing us! However, we also fail to notice where we're going. All I know is that we jump over a wall, crash into a fence, and run through a flower garden. While running, I notice something that looks like a window big enough for Scoobert and me to go through.
"Scoobert! Follow me!"
"Okay, (F/A/N)!"
I lead the way to the window, but the moment we enter, we end up crashing onto something. Not long after, I hear Scoobert scream. I look up to see another ghost, making me scream as well.
Not again! How many ghosts are there?
(Y/N) POV:
I thought I heard something from Shaggy's side of the room, which makes me wake up.
Is he eating in his sleep again?
I start to think otherwise the moment I hear screaming.
"Shaggy?" I call out.
"(N/N)! Help!"
"I'm coming!" I exclaim, quickly grabbing my baseball bat, ready to save my friend.
When I get there, I see Shaggy's blankets covering something. Whatever it is it's...screaming? I yank back the covers, revealing a dog and a (F/A)? Shaggy and the two animals scream at each other for a few minutes before laughing at each other. I'm not sure why, but I laugh with them.
Talk about a wild goose chase. We all freaked over nothing.
As soon as the dog and (F/A) stop laughing, they head for the window, pull down the blinds, lock the window, and hide back underneath Shaggy's blankets. Shaggy and I share a look of confusion.
"What's the matter boy? Something out there got you and your friend spooked?" Shaggy asks.
"Rosts. Rosts!" the dog answers, scared.
