(3rd) POV:

Once the gang entered the school, they all agreed to split up, to make it easier to investigate their suspects. While Fred, Daphne, Shaggy and Scooby keep an eye on the janitor, Velma, (F/A/N) and (Y/N) would investigate the librarian.

(Y/N) POV:

Velma hid herself in the "Book Return" cabinet, while I was pretending to make conversation with (F/A/N), so that we wouldn't look suspicious to anybody. Once the librarian passed by us, she went into her office, which reads "Authorized Personnel Only". While making sure no one was looking, Velma and I enter her office as quickly, and quietly as possible. (F/A/N) stayed out of the room to keep a lookout.

To make sure that the librarian didn't notice us, we hid behind the shelves. And from the looks of things, she seemed to be holding something that looked like a letter, and grabbed a scary looking knife.

"Yes. Soon this school will vex me no more," says the librarian. Velma and I share a look, both suspicious of her and what it is that she plans to do. However, when she uses her knife to open the letter, the words she reads out loud is not what we had expected. "We are pleased to inform you that Coolsville University Library would like to offer you a senior position on our staff. Huzah! Books without pictures,"

Velma and I share a look of confusion, but don't have much time to think about it once the librarian begins to leave her office. We try to quickly follow her as quiet as possible. But while rushing, I accidentally knock over something. Velma and I quickly turn around to see that I had knocked over a book.

"Jinkies. What do we have here?" Velma asks herself as she picks up the book.

"What is it?" I ask.

"Look at the title," she says.

I do, and once I read, the title says "Volume One: Ghostly Hauntings, a History". That's when realization hits me.

"You think this might be connected to those ghosts?" I ask.

"I don't know, but--" she says.

Before she can even finish, we hear the door open. Not wasting a second, we quickly hide the book behind our backs as we face the librarian.

"What are you two doing? Students aren't allowed back here," says the librarian giving me and Velma a disapproving look.

I try to think of something that might get us out of this mess, but Velma thankfully beats me to it.

"Exchange students. Very lost," Velma says, making her voice sound like she's got an accent.

"Is that a Russian accent I detect?" the librarian asks.

Not sure what else to do, Velma and simply nod our heads.

Apparently, the librarian is pleased as her frown quickly turns into a smile. "How wonderful. I spent a semester studying the language at the University of Moscow,"

Then the librarian starts to speak in Russian. I'm not sure what she said, so I look to Velma for help, hoping that she at least knows how to speak the language. And thankfully, she does, making me let out a quiet sigh of relief. I'm not sure what Velma said, but it apparently worked, considering how the librarian began to laugh as she smiled warmly at us.

"How I miss the Russian sense of humor," says the librarian as she kindly guides us out of her office. "That was a good one,"

Not wasting a single moment, Velma and I quickly rush out of the library, with the book we found, and dragging (F/A/N) with us.
