(Guy's side) Chapter 9: Investigating the school

(Y/N) POV:

As planned, we all waited for the day to become night so that we could sneak our way into the school. One by one, we all peeked our heads from the bushes we had been hiding behind, to see if the coast is clear.

"Okay. Let's do this," says Velma.

Not long after saying that Velma began zigzagging her way to the school, making the rest of us laugh at how silly she's being. I mean, sure, we're on an investigation, but she doesn't have to take it that far. We then began walking to the school building, while Velma continued to zigzag. Once we were in, Fred and I peeked our heads out through the door to make sure no one was in the halls, then gestured to everyone that it's okay for us to go in.

"Okay gang, we can cover more ground if we split up and search for clues," Fred suggest, making us all nod our heads in agreement. I mean, 7 of us, searching through the whole school building is definitely not going to be easy, so splitting up definitely sounds like the best option. "Daphne, you come with me and--

Before he can even finish, Daphne cuts him off. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Why do I have to go with you?" she asks.

"Yeah, who made you boss? Why can't we pick our own teams?" Velma asks, offended.

Velma's not the only one. I mean, just because we all agreed to work together on clearing our names, doesn't mean we have the right to boss anyone around.

"Well, I just thought--," Fred tries to explain.

"You just wanted to go with the hottie," I say, hinting at Daphne that Fred might have a crush on her.

Fred gives me a slight glare and denies my words. "I did not. And just for the record, I don't even think she's that hot,"

"Oh, really?" Daphne questions, sounding offended by Fred's choice of words. "Well, just for the record--"

Before anything can get out of hand, Shaggy cuts in. "Uh, guys, like can we just get to it?" he asks. "Seriously, the school's scary enough during the day,"

Fred then sighs. "Fine. How about we all just go together?"

"Fine," says Velma.

"Okay," I say in agreement.

"Works for me," says Daphne.

With that, we walk through the halls of the school, looking for anything out of place, or something that might possibly be a clue.

3rd POV:

Even though everyone agreed to go together to find clues, Shaggy, Scooby and (F/A/N) could tell that this was not going to be easy for everyone to get along.

"Touchy bunch, huh guys?" Shaggy asks both of his animal friends.

"Uh-huh," says Scooby.

"Yep," (F/A/N) says, agreeing with both of his/her friends.

Shaggy, Scooby and (F/A/N) then go to catch up with the others. However, not long after, a door opens, shedding some light in the halls, as well as revealing the Specter's shadow.

"Find out what they're up to, then get rid of them," the Specter orders.

Doing as their master commands, Ezekial and Prudence follow after the gang, while making sure not be noticed.
