(Y/N) POV:

I'm not sure what happened. All I know is that by the sound of a loud explosion, I immediately open my eyes and begin to take in my surroundings. The others and I begin to cough from the smoke that came from the explosion. And from the looks of things, we seem to be in the school's gym.

The gym...? Oh yeah! That's right.

I begin to recall what happened us. The gang and I were investigating Vice Principle Grimes' house until the ghosts ambushed us. And the Specter used something to make us fall asleep.

"Daphne, are you okay?" Fred asks, helping her get back on her feet.

"Where are we?" Daphne asks.

"It looks like we're in the school's gym," I answer, still coughing a little from the smoke.

"How did we get here?" Velma asks.

"Not only that, but what happened to Scooby and (F/A/N)?" I ask, noticing that they're not with us.

"I don't know. I can't remember anything after that green spray," Fred answers.

We all huddle up, taking a look at the hole in the ground the explosion caused. Velma did say that after the Coolsville flood, Coolsville was built right on top of the ruins of the old town. Which must mean that this hole might be what's connecting the gym to the ruins of the old school.

"Bet you this is the work of that phony Specter," says Velma.

"I don't doubt that," I say, agreeing with her.

We all then hear someone clapping their hands. "Bravo," we all turn around to see the Specter walking down the gym's benches with a spotlight shining on him. "Bravo little puzzle masters. You put all the pieces together. The time capsule, it's all about the time capsule. But thanks to you, I can retrieve it without even getting my hands dirty. Ironic, isn't it? All you were trying to do is clear your names, but all you did was get yourselves in deeper," the Specter says, laughing at us. "Now, get down there and find me that time capsule,"

"Like we'd ever help you!" I yell, earning a nod of agreement from the others.

"Fine. But if you don't, you'll never see your little (F/A) or puppy dog again,"

The moment the Specter says that, two spotlights shine down on two dog crates, and in these dog crates are Scooby and (F/A/N)! I'm not sure whether the gasp came from me or the others. All I know is that we're all worried about what'll happen to (F/A/N) and Scooby if we don't do what the Specter says.

So, that's it. He knew that we'd say no to his demands, which is why he took (F/A/N) and Scooby as hostages.

"Scooby?" Shaggy asks, worried.

"(F/A/N)?!" I exclaim, just as worried. I then glare at the Specter. "You bastard! I swear, if you hurt them, I swear I'll--!"

"You'll what? Send me to prison and have justice brought upon me just like your father?" the Specter asks, obviously mocking me.

"What are you talking about?" Fred asks.

"What? He didn't tell you? How his father was actually THE Detective (L/N), one the world's most greatest mystery solving detectives there ever lived?" the Specter asks mockingly.

Hearing that made everyone's eyes widen in shock, except for Shaggy, since he's known about it for a long time. It's true. My dad was one of the best detectives there ever was before he died. (L/N) is not that uncommon when it comes to names, but I don't like bragging about my family's name, because whenever people found out about who my parents were, they'd always make fun of me, saying how I'll never be as great as a detective as my father, or how I'm a disappointment to my father's name.
