TPAM: Chapter 12

Maddy

I pinched myself just to check if I'm still dreaming.

Nope. I'm very much awake. And ouch, that kinda hurt.

I still can't believe my eyes. I finally got my laptop back! And hand-delivered by the idiot himself!

Aba, totoo pala na may himala!

Kaya pala ilang araw din na walang utos ang mahal na hari. Nag-reflect ata sa life decisions niya?

"Magugunaw na ba ang mundo?" I asked, still bewildered. "Anong nakain mo at naisipan mo na tapusin na 'tong kalokohan mo?" My face is still written with confusion while checking my laptop. I'm here at the university cafe, waiting for  Pat and Lorraine when suddenly, this mokong showed up.

Hindi paren ako makapaniwala na tinatapos niya na ang pang-torture saken. I think.

"Ayaw mo yata eh. You want me to continue this charade?" He said while attempting to grab my laptop from me, again.

"Hell no! I'm just checking lang no. Baka mamaya you're just testing me or something. Teka, how will I be sure na you didn't make a copy of my files here?"

"Like I said, I'm a man of my word. If there's one thing you should believe, it's that."

"Alright then. Thank you for giving this back. And please, don't bother me again." Sabi ko, sabay irap. Sa wakas, pwede na ulit akong magtaray ng walang consequences!

"Don't flatter yourself. Hindi kita pagaaksyahan ng panahon no. I just did it for a little fun, that's all." He said sneering.

"Well, in that case, lumayas ka na sa harapan ko baka ibalibag ko pa 'to sa'yo!" I threatened as I aim my laptop at him. Hinayupak na 'to.

"Tsk tsk! So un-ladylike. If I were you Miss Sunget, babawasan ko yung pagiging amazona mo. Baka tumanda kang dalaga niyan. Sige ka." He smirked again while wiggling his brows at me.

"Is he bothering you again, Maddy?" Nico asked, and I saw Sam walking behind him. Hindi ko napansin na dumating pala sila dahil sa mokong na 'to.

My angels are here, thank God!

"Yes! Pwede ba, pakitali muna yang alaga niyo. Nakawala nanaman sa hawla niya eh."

"Pigilan niyo ko, baka pumatol na ako sa babae." He said, pursing his lips. Obviously, I hit a nerve. Good.

"Easy. Kayong dalawa talaga, pag kayo talaga nagkatuluyan, ewan ko na lang." Nico blurted.

"Never!!!" We both yelled as the people in the cafe stared at us.

Nico and Sam both laughed.

"Tara na, pre," Nico said to Elijah as he put his arm on the latter's shoulder, "baka kung ano pa magawa ni Maddy sayo. Bye, Madz," he turned to me. "Is it okay to call you, Madz? That's what your friends call you, right?" Nico said smiling. "Friends naman tayo, diba?" Pahabol pa niya.

"Y-yeah. Of course. Just the two of you though." I said while pointing at him and Sam. The latter shot me with a half salute in acknowledgement.

"Okay lang. I don't care. Mas gusto ko namang Sunget ang tawag sayo kasi mas bagay sayo yun." Elijah said, and then he sticks his tongue out at me. What a brat.
