Before continuing the story,
The story is of Cassandra Clare and I'm just writing it with a different point of view and adding a few things to the real story.

The party

Alec's P.O.V
It was almost evening when Isabelle came to me with a bowl in her hands. "What is it?" I asked dreading the reply. "I know you've been feeling down because of what happened to Jace. I thought I could cheer you up with some soup. I made it myself for you." Here it was. The nightmares her last soup gave me, I struggled to keep the smile at my face. "Izzy, I am fine now, there is no need for you to do this. I'm not hungry anyway, I just had lunch. You can have it." I tried to be as polite as I could. Izzy laughed at that, "As you wish big brother." she winked at me and I grinned as she herself knew that the matter with Jace won't kill me but her soup might very well do the job.
I was just about to tell her that I was going for a walk to take a break when Jace entered my room with that mundane in his arms. My smile faded immediately and I never knew if I would ever smile again. Oh how I hated that mundane. "Why you brought that mundane here Jace?" I whispered with utter frustration. "She isn't a mundane Alec. Iratze worked on her." He replied with equal quiet. I just felt the ground slipping through my feet. "YOU USED A HEALING RUNE ON HER???" I screamed at Jace. "How were you so sure she was a shadowhunter?" I asked as Izzy squeezed my arm to warn me to keep my voice down.
"I wasn't exactly sure; I was 90 per cent sure." He replied with urgency. We need to get her to rest. She was almost killed. I had to use it." He said in a hurry. "Runes can also kill mundanes Jace, or she could've been made a forsaken, I will take her to my room." Izzy reminded him and then she somehow carried that girl to her room.
"I'm sorry Alec. I know it must be hard for you but please stay quiet about it. Her mother is kidnapped by Valentine and she just wants to find her mother. I promised I will take care of her. Please Alec help me, your parabatai, to keep that promise." He was always such an emotional blackmailer. I sighed in frustration. "Alright but just till she gets her mother back." And Jace hugged me and I knew he was grinning behind my back to be successful in making a fool out of me again. He always did that. As much as I knew him, he wasn't letting her go so easily.

Magnus' P.O.V
I woke up with chairman at my side. "Oh my fluffy little sweet cupcake." I picked him up and got up to hold him in my lap. "Happy birthday dear. You've been the closest to me for a quarter of a century now." He purred and I sighed. I got up to begin the preparations and send the invitation to everyone.
Tonight was that party. I tried to get everything perfect. All I had to do was snap my fingers to summon my magic and control it with my mind to decorate the club. Something told me today was different. I dyed the curtains royal blue, and the carpet red. I decorated the lights very carefully. My idea of elegant was Blue, so most of the decoration was in that color. And I took care of everything being elegant because that boy I saw felt so. He felt elegant.
I summoned a soft ball of wool for Chairman as a gift. Then I went to take shower as makeup would take time so I had to hurry as it was already evening.

Alec's P.O.V
It was almost a complete day of that little mundane girl being here. Her name was Clary from what I learned and she didn't liked being called a little girl so I enjoyed myself very much calling her that. She was causing trouble already. After she woke up, she was told about where she was and basically who she was.
She went back to her home with Jace to find out nothing there but her mundane friend Simon whom she brought along. Now the institute had one and a half mundanes although mundanes weren't allowed in institute. Then we figured out by her giving us fragments of information and memories for finding out her mother, that her mind was blocked. Literally. We had to go to silent brothers and they confirmed that it is a very strong spell blocking her mind, and that was magic of warlock. The day got worse and worse. We decided to visit the high warlock of Brooklyn today. The Ancient Magnus Bane, known for his greed and power and his love for parties.
Today was a party he held on account for the birthday of his pet cat. I just couldn't believe what I saw when Izzy showed me the invitation she got from a downworlder. Hodge, our head of the institute gave us an ancient necklace that Magnus gifted his ex-lover, Camille. She is a vampire but she isn't with Magnus anymore. Hodge told us that Magnus would love to have it back.
Izzy wore it and she was dressed beautifully. She wore a silver party dress that went till her knees and 7 inches for silver heels. She also had her hairs tied back in a way that only top-half of her head was tied and was decorated with a silver necklace and rest of the hair at the back were left loose.
Clary too, I hate to admit, was looking good. She was wearing Isabelle's black slip dress and it was short. Jace was staring at her like he has never seen anything like it. She wasn't looking THAT good. Izzy was looking at me and silently nodded to reassure me that it will be fine. We left for Magnus' party.
Outside the club I felt anxious and I had no idea why. Izzy was saying something about her necklace when I said without even thinking, "I think you should take it off. We don't want Magnus Bane to drool all over the front of his dress and on his expensive carpets now, do we?" and I smirked. She glanced at her necklace and smirked too while taking it off and giving that to Jace.
