Down to Business

Kimberly's POV

It's been two days since Suzy got home and she's acting like nothing happened I was kinda worried. James told me to leave it when she's ready to talk she will, but forget what he says I do what I want. With that I headed to Suzy's room "Suzy can I come in?" I knocked but there was no answer, hmm maybe... I opened the door and she wasn't in her bed. I checked her closet and she wasn't in there either "maybe she out in the garden she said she liked that place". Walking down the stairs going to the garden I pass the kitchen getting a glance of Suzy holding Neron making him a bottle. Heating up his milk she slowly rocks him and I can hear her talk to him "don't worry little Neron I won't let anything bad happen to you like bad things happened to me. Your going to be protected by your big sister Suzy" hearing her say these things makes me smile the something amazing happened. Neron with his little self, little growing self  talked "shwuee" Suzy was so excited she almost made the milk too hot. My own excitement for the best of me and I was spotted "oh I'm sorry did I interrupt a moment?" "This is a moment for us all  right Neron even though mom and might be a little upset your first was is Suzy and not mama or dada, right mom?". Mom...hearing it come from her it's just, it's just so refreshing and heart fulling it makes me so happy. All in thought I didn't hear Suzy call me "mom" "oh sorry I was in thought what is it?" "Is dad here?" "Yes he's up in his office". She thanks me and hands Neron and his bottle to me and heads to James, I mean her father gosh that's so cute.

James POV

Sitting down I'm going over the details for my next contract then I hear a knock on my door. "Come in" opening the door I see it's Suzy, "how may I help you Suzy?". Looking at her I see she's a little sceptical about what she wants, sitting down in one of the chairs in front of my desk she starts to twiddle with her fingers. "Suzy is there something you wanted?" Taking a deep breath she looks up at me "dad can you teach me how to defend myself?". Shocked  I look at Suzy with a little worry "Suzy why would..." Interrupting me she speaks with a little base in her voice "I can't just let what happened happen again especially now that Neron is here". She looked so determined to wanting to do this. Sighing I look at her with a straight face "ok but if you do this you'll not only learn to defend yourself but how to end someone's life are you ready for that?". Standing up she asks "when do we start?" With a smile on my face I chuckle "tomorrow so be ready physically and mentally ready to get down to business" with that she nodded her head and walked to the door " suzy wait a minute" "yeah?" "Wasn't there a party you where suppose to go to?" Looking down she sighs "well yeah but you know" "sorry you missed it" "honestly I'm not". With a smile she left, now that I'm thinking about it Kimberly's not going to like this but hey, the kid must of thought about this

Later that night I decided to tell Kimberly I was going to teach Suzy how to defend herself, but leave a little bit out. Sitting on the bed waiting for Kimberly from putting our Piccolo Principe (little Prince) in bed. Sitting on our bed I look at her "what are you looking at" I love the way she gets all shy it's so cute "oh nothing" "then what's wrong?". Sighing I just tell her "Suzy came to me today asking if I could teach her". Looking at me she staightens her face "teach her what exactly?" Knowing Kimberly all these years I can tell what all her face expressions mean and right now she was pissed. "She just wants me to teach her how protected herself so what happened won't happen again". Walking in front of  me Kimberly crosses her arms "James I don't want her to learn to kill people she's only 14". Looking up at her I sigh "I know baby but" i try to reach for her hand but she stepped back "she has people looking out for she's protected wh....". In mid-sentence she stops sitting down next to me taking a deep breath she giggles. Cunfused I ask her "Kimberly what's so funny?"  "Nothing, I just remembered something that happened today".

Kimberly's POV

Turning to face James I remember what Suzy was saying to Neron "today when i went down to the kitchen in search of Suzy I saw she had Neron in  her arms telling him how she was going to protect him no matter what so what happened to her never happens to him". Thinking I know how dangerous James world is, if this is what she wants and it's for her to protect those she loves, I'm ok with it. "James just promise me this" holding my hand he asks what is it "just don't push her so hard and let her hurt herself ok?". "Don't worry my love I promise" "ok...oh wait I just remembered Neron said his first word today?". James threw my hand away from his and laid on the bed "no I missed it, babe why didn't you record it?". Laughing I lay next to him don't worry he'll say more and you'll hear it" "but I didn't want to miss his first, so what did he say?". "It was so cute he said suzy!" "Wow that's something hey how about we make another so I won't miss his or her first word?", looking at him I laugh "ha nice try good night James" "damn can't blame a man for trying"

Suzy's POV

Driving to school with my dad he stops right in front of the school, for everyone to see us. "I'll be in the office all day so I asked Troy to come pick you up for me ok, you have his number right?". "Yes I do, ok I'll see then bye bye" getting out the car I see Jay "hey Suzy" "hey" looking behind him I don't see Kate "she's still sick?" "Yeah she's getting better though". Walking into the school I think of Kate gosh I miss her she better get well, stoping in his tracks I look at Jay then he starts to speak. "I called you to see if you where ready to go to Rose's party, what happened?"  "I'm so sorry something came up". Jay chuckled "well that's ok I guess I'll just have to take you out on a date then" Jay started walking to class leaving me in the hallway shocked....a date? He's not serious, is he?.

Later that day after school I texted Troy telling him that I'll be hanging out after school that I'll call so he can pick me up when I'm done. Walking with Jay I found out he was serious about this date so we planned on this weekend at 7:30. Asking Jay where we would go he stopped me in mid sentence  grabbing my hand, I looked him with wide eyes "what's wrong?" He didn't say anything he just started walking faster "Jay what's going on" " someone is following Suzy just listen to me and keep up ok". Worried I just nod my head and in 10 seconds we where running, looking behind us I see three men chasing us running we turn a corner which sadly was a dead end "Jay?".Turning around Jay puts me behind him, "oh little children no need to run we just want to take you somewhere" "bullshit, stay behind me Suzy". I was scared what's going to happen, coming closer the man in charge I guess told the other two to grab me "let her go!" I heard jay yell. The man giving orders punched Jay in the face making him fall to the floor at this moment I got even more scared "no leave him alone don't touch him!". Standing up I see Jay laughing he wipes the blood from his mouth and puts his book bag down and kicks the guy square in the face. "You've done it now kid" the guy says to Jay, shockingly Jay is a good fighter he kicked this guy's butt without breaking a sweat, standing  above the the guy he looks at the two guys holding me "you take him and tell who ever your boss is tell him to stay away from Suzy". The two men let me go pick the guy up and was off, then I thought boss? What does Jay even know about stuff like that. Turning to Jay spoke "call Troy it's time to go". Listening I call him "hey Suzy ready for Mr to pick you up?" "Yeah but uncle Troy, you need to hurry". Hanging up the phone he tells me he'll be there in 5 minutes putting my phone away I ask Jay "hey what did you mean by boss?". Jay smiles at me and takes my hand I'll explain when we get to your house ok, I promise" I nodded my head one thing about Jay and Kate when they promise, they promise. Troy comes in the next four minutes "guys get in!" Getting in the car Troy asks me "Suzy what happened?". Before I can say anything Jay speaks "three of Tevon's men where after her" looking at Jay confused Troy asks "what do you know about tevons kid?", Silent Jay looks down into his hands "my father works for him". Wait what, Jay's dad works for the brother of the man that kidnapped me? "You got some explaining to do kid, but not to me you'll speak with MY boss" Oh shit!!!!!
