Jonah immediately stops the car and looks around
"Eden there's nothing here." He frowns but I can't keep my eyes off the road
No, why do I remember that?
Was I there?
"Eden." Jonah snaps and I ignore him
I hear his wolf let out a growl
He has a hard time controlling his wolf.
I let out a tear and I get out of the car.
"Eden, what the hell is wrong with you?" His wolf snaps and I crumble to the ground
He looks around again before his eyes fall on what I had seen
"Hospital." He says and I sniffle
"Mom." I whisper and he walks over.
He picks me up and holds me
"Tell me more darling." He says
"My mom died when I was ten, she was coming home from work when someone rammed into her car. Right here." I breathe and he nods
He places me back in the car, but this time in his lap
I wrap my arms around him and close my eyes tight
"It's okay princess." He whispers and I sigh
"Sorry I snapped." He says
"Don't worry about that." I whisper and he kisses my head
Jonah PoV:
He carries me inside and lays me down on the bed
"Darling, you need more rest. You're emotionally exhausted." I say and she whimpers
"Don't leave yet."
"Okay, I'll wait till you fall asleep." I smile and she yawns
She stays close to me until I see her fall asleep
I slip out and groan
The things my wolf wants to do to her...
I shake away the ideas and focus on my work
"Jonah? How's Eden?" Frasier, my beta asks
"Still awful." I sigh and he frowns
"God man, I'm sorry. Your wolf must be hating on you a lot."
I nod
"A lot." I sigh and he looks away
We finish working before Eden walks in
"Jonah?" She yawns sleepily
Frasier had to go earlier, it's just me now
"Hey Princess, sleep well?" I ask and she nods
"Very." She says
I try to keep my wolf calm, she's only wearing my shirt
She looks so hot...
"Uhm Jonah? I wanna dye my hair back." She says and I widen my eyes
"Really? Okay, I'll make you an appointment." I smile and she grins
"Thank you." She purrs I beckon her over
She slips into my lap comfortably and rests her head in the crook of my neck
"Jonah, I-I-" She stutters and I squeeze her hand
"I'm worried. I'm terrified to go outside." She whispers and I rub her back
"It's okay, it'll get better darling." I promise her and she nods
"I hope so." She sniffles
I knew her heat would be coming soon, and I know I have basically zero control over my wolf...
"Princess, I don't want to scare you but your first heat is coming up soon." I say and she pales
"Oh."
"And I can't really control my wolf." I sigh and she bites her lip
"That's okay. I'm okay with that." She says and my eyes widen
"I trust you Jonah." She smiles and I kiss her
"God you are perfect." I whisper but she hears
She blushes and relaxes while I finish my work
"Jonaahhhh." She groans
"Cmon baby, I gotta work." I chuckle and she smiles, rolling her eyes
"I can be work too." She smirks and I chuckle
"Trust me, you're a handful." I smirk and she giggles
It's nice to see her happy
Her hair reaches to her midriff and I know it's not her real colour, but it does suit her
I love her eyes, she's told me she feels self conscious a lot, she hates standing out but with her normal hair and blue and green eyes she's always standing out.
I know she was disliked a lot by everyone else
"Jonah? What's wrong? You're staring." She says, rubbing my arm slightly
"Ah, I just wanted to know about your life before you ran." I ask and she sighs
"Mmm, what do you wanna know?" I'm lucky she's so open to me
"School, I know your last day was the worst day of your life....but otherwise?" I ask
"Oh. Well, I was a year ahead. I didn't have many friends because of my family. Uhm I was friends with Sandy. We met because she needed tutoring." She says and I nod
"Well, I got bullied a lot. Sometimes because of how I look, sometimes because of family. And other times because I never had the courage to eat in the lunch hall." She sighs
She proceeds to tell me about people and her opinion
"So yeah. It was okay, I guess." She sighs, squeezing her legs together
"Don't think about them." I say in her ear and she nods
I kiss her mark and she gasps our
"Fuck." She blurts and I nip at her ear
"Now let me finish." I smirk and she blushes, nodding.
I finish within half an hour but my princess is asleep now.
I carry her to bed and she mumbles in her sleep
I kiss her nose and a smile grazes her lips
Eden PoV:
I wake up in agony.
Heat is spread everywhere throughout my body
I pant and look around.
Jonah's gone.
I bite my lip.
What the hell do I do now?
I whimper and bring my knees to my chest
What if the guards try to touch me? What if Fras or James got out? What if they touch me again?
Tears form in my eyes
I've never cried as much as I have in these past few days as I have in my whole life. I'm not a crier.
I jump up and lock the door, no one is getting in here. I whimper, it's times like these that I wish I had a phone.
I got rid of mine when I ran, no point in having a tracking device.
I take a cold shower which doesn't help me at all, when I step back out I see a note.
Eden, I fear it might be safer if I don't come home for a little while. You'll be safe, I promise. If you need me then mind link me, I'm sure you can by now. See you soon darling.
I sniffle but can't help but agree. I would've done the same thing. I don't fear mating him, it excites me actually, we just aren't there yet.
I frown. I'm gonna miss him
How long will he be gone?
Will I really be safe here?
God I hope so.
