Jonah PoV:
My wolf doesn't like liars. Eden is keeping something from me and it might end up hurting her
I have even less control now that it's night...I don't want to hurt her.
I rub my head and she wriggles a bit closer to me
Suddenly the idea of my mate being close to me feels repulsive.
I let it go until she falls asleep and dash out of bed.
I feel sick being near her, that's not normal. I'm usual annoyingly turned on around her.
I look in the mirror and jerk back.
My eyes are black, my hands won't stop shaking.
"Holy shit." I gasp
My skin burns and I know exactly what's going to happen.
"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." I panic, not knowing where to go.
I look at her...I usually don't want to hurt my mate...but now?
Goddess I gotta get out of here
My skin burns stronger and I pull my shirt off.
I growl and walk out the room, I dash past the kitchen and the living room.
I enter the main foyer and bite at my lip
I lock her in, I can't hurt her..,however tempting it is.
No stop it Jonah!
I know I should call my parents, I go to their basement most times my wolf flares ups.
I just...UGH! I hate liars!
I walk to the fridge and grab a beer before slumping back down on the couch.
I need to subdue him...
I'll be fine in a couple hours.
Eden PoV:
I can't get out, why did he lock me in! Where did he go?
I can sense he's unstable...what if he can't control his wolf!?
I fumble around and find the key in the kitchen drawer
I unlock the door and rush in,I see him asleep on the couch.
I calm down.
Thank Goddess.
I walk back to bed and fall asleep, after a little while of stressing over him
Jonah PoV:
I wake up and clean up, still feeling unstable.
Liar. Liar. Liar.
Keeps playing over and over in my mind.
I groan and hear footsteps
"Jonah?" She calls and I whip around
I smile, not sickened by her presence anymore.
Let's see if I can go near her...
She walks over
"Jonah I know you aren't yourself right now. I know you will Wanna keep distance and I get it." She says and I smile
"Thanks, I'm sorry...." I sigh and she shakes her head
"Hey, it's fine." She nods
I've never been repulsed by her until last night. My wolf is usually obsessed with her...but now that's she's a liar?
I hate liars.
"Eden I'm not going to be able to calm down until you stop lying." I snap and she frowns
"Huh? Lying?" She frowns
"Last night, you said nothing was up but you go so tensed up by it....that's not normal." I huff and she looks down
Clearly guilty, she sits down
"Fine. I'll talk."
I sit down, still a little far away from her, my wolf is still pissed.
I'm just glad she didn't wake up last night, with alcohol in me my wolf probably would've gotten a bit too close for comfort.
"It's just, a letter came. From Gio. While you were gone." She says and my eyes widen
"What did it say?"
"Well I only opened it the other day..." she sighs
Dear Eden,
Thank you. Ewan told me of what you did for me and although I still haven't forgiven you or your mate...I would like to express that gratitude. Our parents deserved better than the Justice pack, and I know they never had funerals. I looked into once I found out who they were. In any case, I think it's time we let them go properly. Don't you agree? A funeral. Ewan and I thought of it but you are the one who knew them. You know what they'd love. In any case, I want to know you. As my sister.
I hope you can forgive me too,
Gio.
I look at her and she looks down
"I didn't want to worry you, especially after you told me you were stuck with Jacob for a month. I thought you'd say no and that I couldn't meet him." She panics, hoping my wolf won't attack her
"He was a threat to you Eden." I scowl
"He's not anymore. He's my brother." She pouts
"I don't- fuck it go ahead. See if I care!" I snap and walk out
"Jonah!" She calls and I storm out the front door.
I get back home when it's dark, my wolf did end up taking control for a few hours and I'm too weak to keep walking.
I collapse on the couch, everything fading in and out of vision until it all goes black.
I wake up and feel sparks throughout my hand
I look over and see Eden terrified
"What's wrong?" I frown
Did someone hurt her?
She sees me and hugs me
"Don't do that to me." She whispers and I hold her
Back to normal now. Please. I beg my wolf
Fine. No liar no problems.
I hug her
"Hey I'm okay, I'm fine. Don't worry." I smile
"You just ran away and I walk downstairs to find you passed out." She sniffles
"I know, but you know how weak I get after he takes control." I yawn, my hold on her slipping
"I know...let's bring you upstairs." She helps me up and fall into the bed
I begin to fall asleep when she kisses my cheek
"Goodnight Princess." I mumble, half awake
