"I thought you wanted a pup?" I frown and sit next to him
"I do. I did? I don't know. I just know I'm not ready to be a father. At all." He says and I breathe
"You're kidding, you're going to be an amazing father!" I smile
"No I'm not. I'm a screw up and I'm going to bed end up hurting you. My anger and unpredictability...I'm not okay." He's trying not to cry and I rub his arm
"I don't think I'm going to get through to you on this, I'll be right back."
I text his father to come over and I stay with Jonah in silence until the doorbell rings
His father smiles at me and I step outside
I explain everything and he nods
"I understand, go out. I'll talk to him."
I get back home and walk in
I see Jonah sleeping in the couch and I walk over
I wake him up gently and he looks at me
"Eden." He rasps and I smile
"You doing any better?" He sits up and nods
"Thanks for getting my dad."
"Of course." I smile and he kisses my head
"Sorry if I worried you, and sorry if I made you feel unwanted." He rubs my knee as I sit on the coffee table
"It's okay." I smile and he pulls me close
He rests a hand on my stomach and I smile
"You know you're growing more each day right?" He smiles and I huff
"Am not," I pout and he chuckles
"Cmon, Ill make you dinner. You rest up." He says and I sit back
"I didn't ask but did you feel okay this morning?"he asks and I shrug
"Not so much morning sickness but I felt really nauseous." I frown and he frowns
"Well, you're like five weeks in now right? Not that much longer." He says and I sigh
"Yeah I guess."
"You know we really should talk about names." He suggests and I perk up
"Really!" I grin and he chuckles
"Nah lets just not name the kid." He rolls his eyes and finishes cooking
I stick my tongue out before my phone rings
"Ewan." I say and answer it, stepping out for a minute
"Hey Eden!" He says
"Hey Ewan." I smile
"How are you? We haven't talked since you told me about your pup!" He says
"Mmm. I'm okay, I'm really tired." I yawn
"I'm sure you are. Aenea is still recovering from well, you know."
"Oh tell her I say hi." I smile
"Of course, not to be shrewd but we mated recently."
"That's great! She really is doing better."
We talk for awhile before I go back to Jonah
He smiles at me and I smile back
I slip into his arms
"How is he?"
"Really good actually."
I yawn and he smiles
"So what are you thinking, name wise?" I ask and he shrugs
"I'm not so good at names." He blushes and I giggle
"I don't see the point in girls names." I say and his eyes widen
"Why?"
"I dunno I just don't feel like it's a girl. Don't mother's kinda know?"
"Most werewolves can tell, Sure." He says and I smile
"We can find out in a couple weeks." I sigh and rest a hand on my belly
I whimper, my stomach hurts.
"You okay?" He asks and I nod
"Yeah." I rasp and he frowns
"Maybe it's worth thinking about going to the doctor?"
"We were there like two days ago." I huff and he frowns
"You're pregnant, you shouldn't take chances."
"It's okay, it passed," I breathe and he frowns
"You okay?"
"Yeah." I smile
He walks over and places a hand on my stomach
"You're boiling." He says and I frown
"Okay...can we go to the doctor now." I say, feeling dizzy
He nods and we rush to the car
God I hope I didn't fuck this up.
I sit in the room and they explain to me that I need to lower my stress levels
Apparently they are too high and I need to relax.
The pup won't benefit from my worrying.
Only know I'm worrying about worrying!
I walk back out and Jonah stands up
"Everything okay?" He asks and I nod
"Yeah, we're okay." I say and he breathe sout
"So what was wrong?" He asks as we sit in the car
"I need to lower my stress levels." I shrug
He tenses up
"It's not you Jonah, I promise, I've been thinking about Jacob a lot lately and well...Ewan told me something that I'm just...not happy with."
"What was it?"
"Well he's so happy, living a great life with his mate and...I'm so fucked up it's just not fair!"I sob
"Eden, does he know about James and Fras?"
"Jonah no one knows about that except you and partially Sandy." I cry and he grips my hand
"Princess." He says
"I can't tell him, I can't lose him. Jonah it broke me to tell you!" I whimper and he squeezes my hand
"Breathe Princess."
I continue to cry and he stops the car
He pulls me close and I hug him, crying into his neck
He rubs my belly and I breathe
I gotta calm down, for the pup.
For the pup.
"Jonah, I should tell him right?"
"He's your brother Eden. He loves you."
"Does Jacob love you?" I pout
"Oh darling, of course we love each other. It's just far more complicated." He rubs my cheek and I nod
"I'll text him to meet me tomorrow," I mumble
We drive home and he brings me to bed
"Goodnight Angel." He kisses my cheek and I smile
"Are you going to bed?" I frown
"I am, I just have to call someone."
I'm sitting in the park, Jonah offered to be with me but I told him that might make it harder.
He's waiting in the car.
I see Ewan walk over, smiling
"Hey." I smile and he sits down
"What's up?" He frowns and I bite my lip
"Well I wanted to talk to you about something. The reason why I was on the run from the pack?" I say and he nods
Well.
