As it turns out, Link didn't actually need me...

That 'structure' the old man pointed out, what actually some sort of strange shrine that was activated through Link's Sheikah Slate, much like that strange tower. There seemed to be a platform to take us there, but as it turned out, it only fit one person. The person possessing the Slate.

So of course I had to wait outside, while ponytail was underground doing the interesting stuff...

Fun!

"'It won't take long,' he said!" I growled, swinging my spear around carelessly "'I'll be back before you know it.' He said! Yeah, right blondie! It's way past know it, where the hell are you!?"

My question remained unanswered, not that I expected any different, but it annoyed me regardless. Due to my boredom, I had already wondered a little ways away from the shrine and begun exploring the area around it. There really wasn't much, apart from grass, ponds, and more decaying structure which I learned to expect from this place. What did catch my interest though, were these strange abandoned machines that lay lifeless across the land.

"Never seen one of these before..." I muttered, and poked the lump of metal with my shoe "Are these things even mobile?"

I jumped back as one of its legs detached from from its body, falling to the floor with a loud metallic clunk. My lips pursed together guiltily as I looked around for anyone who saw that, worried this thing may be important somehow... With a nervous laugh, I began moving away from the robot, whistling the tune of Hakuna Matata as I walked off towards a different part of the Plateau. If I was honest, I was surprised that besides Link and the old man, there was no actual signs of civilization in this place, or anywhere near it from what I could tell. Usually the countryside had at least one or two farms, right? And where were the roads? Why did everything look so... I dunno, in the past?

"Ughhhhh, all this thinking is hurting my brain..." I groaned, leaning on my spear lazily "Link better hurry his worn trousers up here, or else I may actually kill something."

Movement caught my eye, which made me snap my head so fast it almost gave me whiplash. Honestly, how some dancers could do all those hair flips and head turns without getting major neck injury is beyond me.

Oh wait. Movement. Right.

Not too far from me stood a boar, who seemed quite content with just sniffing the ground. I glanced down at my spear, and then back up at the animal, and then repeated that action a couple times before smirking.

I already killed a monster... accidently. How hard could it be if I actually put my mind to it?

No harm in trying, right?

"Y/N! I-- woaaaah..."

I rubbed the back of my neck as Link looked me up and down, his lips parting after seeing my roughed up condition.

"Hi..."

"Hey." He frowned "What happened to you?"

"Umm, well... you were gone for awhile, and so I got a little bit bored. Then this boar showed up, and I thought 'yeah, why not practice my throwing skills'. And, well... the pig didn't exactly agree with me, so he sorta charged at me?"

Link's breath hitched.

"Oh don't worry I wasn't hurt too badly." I waved a hand in dismissal "It was a baby, anyways."

"A baby."

"Yep."

"You got outsmarted... by a baby boar."
