"Agh!"

The sound of the man's sickle being knocked from his hand reached my ears, and as soon as it did my hands were released from his painful grasp. I cracked an open, only to see him holding his wrist and growling. Next to us was his sickle, as well as an arrow with a blue ribbon tied around it. Presumably that's what had clashed against his weapon.

"Oh no..." the man muttered as he stared at the arrow "Not him."

I'm pretty sure it was him... whoever he was.

All of a sudden, swift footsteps could be heard charging towards us at high speed. We looked over to our right, to see a boy doing what looked like a freaking Naruto run towards us with a long blade in hand. The man yelped and back flipped away just as the boy made a swing, grabbing his sickle in the process and getting a fair distance away. The new arrival stood over me protectively with his weapon held up to fight, which seemed to intimidate my attacker slightly. However he stood his ground.

"For my master!!" He yelled as he charged forward, but the boy was faster. In an instant metal clashed against metal, as my saviour had shot forward faster than I could blink to block the attack. They began to fight like two lions for a scrap of meat. I was the meat...

I shakily sat up and stared at the back of the boy's head. He seemed familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. His white hair and clothes told me he was a Shiekah...

Well, whoever he was, I hope he wins.

"Argh!" The man suddenly cried out in pain as the Shiekah boy sliced at his shoulder, forcing him to drop his weapon. He had lost... sending me what seemed like a glare he disappeared in a cloud of smoke, which left what looked like a few rupees, a jar and... bananas?

"Yeah, get outta here! Traitorous scum!" The boy snarled out between pants, before sheathing his weapon and slumping his shoulders. After a moment he turned, meeting my eyes with his chocolate brown ones for the first time since he got here. My eyes widened as he did this, as his face had me thinking back to when Link and I visited Kakariko village...

Oh my gosh.

"D-Damia?" I asked quietly, hoping I had gotten his name right as I stared at him. I wonder if he remembered me...

Apparently so, since in a blink of an eye he was at my side, bombarding me with questions filled with concern.

"Y/N! Are you okay?! Are you hurt?!" His eyes travelled down to my shoulder "Oh goddesses, did he do that?!"

"Did he do wha- ohhhhhhhh shoot!" I looked down at my shoulder to see blood leaking through the bandages and my shirt. All my sudden movements must have irritated the wound, but I guess I was too high on adrenaline I didn't notice. "N-No he didn't hurt me, just pushed me down... I already had this."

Damia grimaced, his hand taking my arm to inspect the wound "That looks bad... what the hell happened?"

"I... umm, took a risk."

"What.... kind of risk?"

"The kind where I push someone away from an attack, and end up with a laser hole in my shoulder."

His face fell into a deadpan "Y/N..."

"Ah," I held up a finger "you don't need to say it. I already know the error of my ways."

"Yeah, but I kinda wanna tell you anyway."

"Please don't..."

"I'm gonna say it."

"Damia no."

"I'll say it."

"Nooooo."

"Either run or take it like a warrior."

"Come on man."

"I'm saying it."

"I pray."

"Y/N." He spoke sternly as he clasped my face between his hands, squishing my cheeks and holding my gaze with his squinted eyes "You're a moron."

I pouted and slapped his hands away "Gee, thanks Damia. But calling me names isn't gonna heal my shoulder any faster. In fact, it might make it worse considering how much I wanna punch you in the face right now."

"Well!" Damia gasped in offence, bringing a hand to his heart "Is that any way to treat the brave warrior that just saved you?"

"Well that warrior isn't a very good one, since I'm still injured on the ground, and not being treated and taken to safety."

The boy paused, his chocolate eyes widening a little as he pursed his lips together in a thin line. With pink tinted cheeks he chuckled sheepishly "Good point..." He began to help me stand "Come on, let's get you to—"

"Help...!"

"Eh?"

The two of us exchanged glances as a tiny voice called out to us from somewhere in the area. Damia slowly reached for his blade as he scanned our surroundings, until his eyes landed on the items that man had dropped. He seemed to be focusing on the jar particularly, and after a moment his breath hitched "Oh he did not! That's too far!"

"What is it?" I asked as he jogged over to grab the jar. It was then I noticed a little pink light floating around in it.

"A fairy!"

My jaw dropped. He didn't just say that was what I thought he said...

The boys fingers twisted the cork to open up the light's small glass prison, almost dropping the jar in the process when it was finally freed. It flew around in a panic until stopping right in front of me, which was how I got a proper look at it. Or, her. She was small and thin, with pinkish skin to match the glow surrounding her. Her hair was also pink, and was tied in a long braid that swung just under her hips. Her clothes seemed to be stitched with leaves and flower petals to make a gorgeous pink and green dress, as well as leafy green knee high boots on her feet. I could not believe what I was seeing...

But this is Hyrule. Of course fairies existed here!

She was looking around desperately, her hands clasped together in front of her chest as her little pink wings fluttered about in worry.

"Oh no... no no no no no!" She seemed to be muttering to herself "Where has that brute taken me? Where's the Great Fairy?"

"Miss, calm down please." Damia tried to assure her, holding his hands up to show she meant no harm "We can help you."

The fairy glared at him "How do I know you don't just want to shove me into another jar?"

"If I wanted that, I would've just kept you in the jar you were already in."

"Well—" She paused, placing a finger to her chin "I guess that's valid... wait, who are you?"

"My name's Damia, of the Shiekah tribe." The white haired boy said while placing a hand to his chest, before gesturing over to me "And that's Y/N."

"Hi..." I greeted, still slightly bewildered.

She turned to me in surprise "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't notice you there."
