Ellie was slumped on her bed staring at the ceiling. She was miserable and her eyes were holding back tears. Nothing was right! Lottie had been captured by leviathan and it was impossible to rescue her as the guards had been doubled and security was tight.
"Lottie, oh Lottie." She said into her pillow.
Lottie isn't here. A voice in her head told her. She isn't here.
Ellie knew she loved Lottie, more than anyone else. She was her sun, her day, her little princess. But Lottie loved Jamie. She knew it. And she hated that they hadn't told her. They hadn't told anyone. She felt alone without Lottie, the girl from Cornwall she had met just a few years ago. The girl who had changed her life.
Suddenly her door swung open, revealing Jamie.
"Hey..." Ellie muttered.
"Ellie, we need to talk."
"Ok, but before that..." Ellie hesitated, "please tell me if you love Lottie."
He ignored her and sat on one of Lottie's pink bean bags.
"I demand you tell me the truth, Jamie." Ellie cried.
He gave her a disgusted look and sighed.
"Your using your princess status to demand the truth out of me?" He scoffed.
"YES. YES I AM."
"Fine." His face was frigid, "I love Lottie."
He stood to leave but Ellie grabbed his arm.
"Thank you." She said.
He gave her a cold stare and left the room.
Ellie collapsed onto her bed, tears streaming down her face. How could they do this to her? It wasn't the fact they were together, but the fact they hadn't told her. Could she trust her friends anymore?
